Just Like Me (Ed Elric x Reader)

Chapter 9

The rest of the night was pretty quiet. You both made a few other things using alchemy. Ed fixed a few of your things. You made him a new hair tie because he lost the old one.

It's getting pretty dark out by now, so you and Ed made some dinner. Actually, it was more like you make dinner, Ed steal food every once in a while.

"Quit it Ed! I'm trying to cook here!" You say to him.

"What?" He tries to say, but he has a chunk of bread in his mouth.

"Quit stealing food!" You yell.

"Oh, sorry..." He gives you his wounded puppy face, and you melt like the butter on the grilled cheese.

You step away from the stove and hug him. He freezes at first, then hugs you back. You pull away from him slowly. You look up at him(considering your shortness) and smile.

"Food should be done now," You say. You walk back over to the stove and pull the grilled cheese off the stove and onto plates. You hand Ed one and you both eat in tghe living room, sitting really close to each other again.

You finish and Ed takes the plates into the kitchen for you.

"I'm actually really tired Ed. Do ya think we could go to bed early tonight?" You ask him.

"Sure. Your first time doing alchemy caught up with you. You get drained the first few times. It gets better. Promise." Ed says.

You both go into your room.

"Hey, it's pretty cold. Ya think we could sleep in the same bed, just for tonight, 'cause it's cold, that's why," You suggest to Ed.

"Uhm, sure. It is pretty cold after all," Ed says, winking. You giggle softly.

You lay on one side of the bed, and Ed lays on the other. You just lay there for a while, sitting opposite each other.

After a bit of being like this, you turn towards Ed. He seems like he's sleeping. You move a little closer to him, and a little closer. You're practically touching, when Ed shifts.

You immediately face the other way. You hear Ed moving more, then you feel his hand move around your waist.

You freak out, then calm down a little. He pulls you closer so your practically touching each other.

"(Y/N)," Ed whispers. He pulls you even closer, your head resting on his chest.

Everything is fine until you see a faint blue light behind you and Ed moves away from you quickly.

"What the hell?" Ed says.

"What?" You ask, turning around.

"It-it was nothing. It's all fine," Ed whispers to you.

You both lay back down facing eachother. You stare into eachother's eyes, his golden, yours(Y/E/C).

Ed moves his hand towards yours. You lace your warm fingers with his cold automail.

You only stay like this for a second, when a little blue spark comes from your hands. Then another and another.

One spark lands on the wall and for a second, you thought there was a hole in the wall where it landed. You pulled your hands apart.

"Did you see that?" I say, freaking out.

"The wall disappearing? Yeah!" Ed seemed just as freaked as you.

You both check the wall where the spark had hit it, no hole, not even a mark.

"Well, I guess we're either both crazy, or both insane." Ed says, trying to lighten the mood a little.

You smile, but can't help but wonder what the hell that was.
