Chapter 15

You wake up the next morning, Ed’s arm still wrapped tightly around you. You notice he’s still asleep. You stay put, eyes closed, enjoying the peace. Ed’s arm twitches, you flinch like an idiot.

“(Y/N)? You awake?” Ed asks you.

“Yeah, kinda,” You reply.

Ed moves his arm and sits up, you sit up slowly too.

“What time is it?” You ask, realizing there’s no clock in the room.

Ed looks around for his watch. He grabs it off the floor and opens it.

“10:34, geez, we slept late,” He says, he closes the watch cover quickly, but not before you see what is written on the inside of the cover.

“Well, should we get back to Winry’s? Al probably misses you,” You ask.

“Sure, but we should get dresses first though,” Ed says, pointing to your tank top that reveals kind of a lot.

You blush, putting on your (F/C) shirt you wore yesterday. Ed puts his shirt back on and slips his watch into his pocket.

You grab the room key I none hand, and Ed’s hand in the other. You both get out of the room and you lock the door behind you.

You drag Ed down the stairs and to the man at the desk. You plop the keys down in front of him and he takes them. Ed also puts down some money, a lot of it.

The man’s eyes light up and he smiles at you both, “Come back soon if you need another room!” He says cheerfully as you walk out the front door.

You walk through the crowded streets of town, working your way towards home.

Ed stops and you turn to him.

“Hey, wanna run some errands for me? Winry needs a few mechanical things and some food. I’m not a gearhead like her, and you know more about mechanics than me. Please?” Ed pleads with you.

You sigh, “Sure, what does she need?”

Ed pulls out a folded piece of paper from his pocket, “Here, this is all of it.”

You open the list and read it. It’s only about five things. Mostly food, but there’s a few parts for automail.

“It’s not much, I should be home by noon,” You declare after a long pause.

“Thanks so much. I’ll head home and tell them you’re getting it all,” Ed hugs you and heads home.

You walk through the crowds and work your way to the mechanics store. You get the parts on the list, then head towards some place for food.

You work your way between people, accidentally tripping someone. You apologies, but the man still seems ticked.

You keep walking, but get turned around. You end up turning into an empty alley way. You are starting to get flustered, when someone taps you on the shoulder. You drop the bag of stuff in your arms in surprise.

You turn to see Ed, smiling at you. He looks kind of mad.

“You got lost. Geez, you’re a klutz,” He says.

You look him over, then take a step back.

“How’d you find me?” You ask defensively.

“I was worried about you and I came back to find you.”

You raise your fist and punch him, really hard in the guts.

He steps back, then smiles at you. Not a normal smile, but one of mischief.

“How’d you know?” He asks you.

“Ed has a piece of hair sticking up,” You motion towards his hair.

The guy who looks like Ed turns into a guy with green-ish hair and looks kinda like a girl.

“Envy,” You mumble.

“So you do know me,” He says.

“Well, what do you want?” You ask him.

“You wanna bring your brother back, don’t you?”

“W-What?” You stutter.

“I know you killed him. You wish to bring him back, right?”

“Uh….I…..” You can’t find words to speak.

“Well, yes or no. If you want to, you need my help.”

You look to the ground, tracing the pavement lines with your eyes.

You whip your head up, “Yes, I do.”

“Great,” Envy says, “Now you just have to do what I say.”
