You arrive at the Inn just as it starts raining hard.

Ed opens the door for you and you walk in, he follows you.

Ed walks up to the man behind the desk, “I need a room for two please.”

“Sorry, all the rooms are reserved,” the man says.

Ed pulls out his watch and shows it to the man, “Are you sure you can’t get us a room?”

“Oh, wait, I believe we have one room left,” He hands Ed a key, “The third room one the second floor.”

Ed turns and smiles at you, “Let’s go!”

You follow Ed up the stairs to the second floor of the building. You find the third door down the hall and Ed unlocks the door.

It was a pretty nice room. It has a chair in the corner and a bed by the far wall.

“One bed, you know what that means,” You say smiling.

You both flop down on the bed and stare into each other’s eyes.

“Well, what now? We’re alone and have nothing to do,” You ask.

“Well, we could sleep, but what’s the fun in that?” Ed says giggling.

(Whatever dirty thoughts you’re thinking, no that isn’t happening.)

You both sit up, eyes locked on each other’s.

“I-I need to tell you something (Y/N),” Ed says nervously.

“Okay, what is it?” You ask quietly.

There’s a long pause. “I-I love you (Y/N),” Ed manages to get out. He quickly looks away from you, fearing rejection.

“I love you too Ed,” You say quietly.

He hears your words and looks back to you. You go to say something but Ed stops you. He puts his hand under your chin and pulls you closer.

Ed’s rough lips touch yours and you tense, then relax a bit. You feel his tongue touch your lips, asking for entrance.

You open your mouth a little and you both share a bit of saliva. After a little while you both pull away for air.

You both stare into each other’s eyes again. Ed smiles and you smile back at him.

You playfully undo Ed’s braid and mess up his hair.

“Hey, you’re gonna have to fix that later,” Ed laughs, trying to straighten his hair out.

“Hold on, you’re making it worse,” You fix his hair so it’s not as messy as before. Ed smiles at you.

It’s around 10:00 by now. You both decide to go to bed.

Ed takes his shirt off and lies down on the bed. You take off your top shirt so you’re just in your tank top. You plop down next to him.

You both lay in bed, Ed’s cold automail wrapped around your waist. After a while of silence the fact that your brother is dead sets in for real.

You feel a tear roll down your cheek and fall onto the sheets, making a damp spot where it fell. You sniffle and Ed notices.

“(Y/N), are you okay?” He asks.

“No, not really. My brother is dead and I couldn’t save him,” You sniff out.

“I wish I could have done something. I feel like it’s my fault. I chose to come here and that’s why he’s dead. Can you forgive me?” Ed asks you.

“Yes, I can, because it’s my fault, not yours.”

Ed holds you tighter, he nuzzles his head into your neck and you continue to cry.

“Don’t cry. You look so depressed when you cry,” Ed says softly.

You stop crying and wipe the tears off your cheeks.

“Better?” He asks.

“Better.” You reply.
