Just Like Me (Ed Elric x Reader)

Chapter 10

You both get up and have cereal for breakfast.

You were so close yesterday, but today you both seem so distant from each other.

"You okay? That was freaky and you seem off after that," Ed asks you.

"What? I'm fine, just confused," You reply quietly.

Ed walks over to you and puts his arms around your waist, "You gonna be okay?"

"Yeah, I'll live," You say, still quiet.

Your phone starts ringing from the other room. You break apart and you run into your room. You scramble around for a second, then find your phone. It's your brother, so you answer it.

"What's up Brandon?" You speak into the phone.

"Hey, trip got cancelled, Collin's mom's pissed and won't let him leave the house. Be back in about five minutes. 'Kay?" He says.

"Uh, no! I-I've got," You glance at Ed in the doorway,"-a friend over, so you can't come home yet!" You say quickly.

"Too bad, I gotta come home, I need more clothes."

He hangs up before you can speak.

"Shit. My brother's coming home in five minutes," You yell.

Ed looks surprised, but keeps his cool. You on the other hand, are losing it.

"What do we do? He can't know you're here!" You yell.

"We'll figure something out."

"Well, I know this sounds crazy, but we could see where that hole in the wall leads us."

 "The one caused by the spark?"

"Yeah."

"You're nuts!" You yell. Ed looks taken aback.

"Well, I'm nuts too, sooooo..." You say quickly.

Ed smiles, "Well, then let's get going."

You both walk over to the empty wall next to the front door.

You look at Ed, scared of what will happen, he smiles, "Everything's gonna be fine, promise."

Ed holds out his automail, you lace your fingers again. One blue spark apears, followed by another, then another. In a few seconds there are a whole bunch of sparks flying from your hands.

Ed places his other hand on the wall, so do you. In the center of the wall, a small blue dot apears, the blue dot starts to get bigger.

The blue light is actually burning away the wall, it left a black void behind. The hole was just about the size of the doorway by now.

You hear a noise from outside, and the front door opened and your brother Brandon walks into the house.

You pull your hand off the wall, and the void stops getting bigger.

"What the fuck? Who's that and...what the hell is going on?" He yells at you.

"Brandon! It's, well, I don't really know. Just back away!" You yell.

Brandon see's the void and his eyes get real wide. He takes a step towards Ed, and you reach up and put your hands on his shoulders.

"Brandon stop, he's not hurting anyone. Ed's not hurting anyone!"

"Who are you?!" Brandon screams.

Ed pulls his hand off the wall and the void starts closing. Not good.

You pull away from Brandon, "Ed! We gotta go now!"

"No! You're not going anywhere!" Brandon reaches for your arm. You pull away, but he still grabs your arm.

"Let go of her!" Ed yells, grabbing your other arm.

You pull away from Brandon, but he won't let go.

The void is closing fast, you need to hurry.

You turn to Ed, he nods.

You both pull away from your brother at the same time, and you both fall into the void.

You turn around just in time to see your brother falling with you. You realize the momentum of you two pulling away caused Brandon to fall in too.

You black out after a few seconds of falling through the darkness, still holding Ed's hand.
