My life has always been well different. I may not have everything I want or everything I need but I think everything's okay.

"Finally, our 6th year at Hogwarts" Dean said, trying to reach in for the last chicken piece.

"About time," I replied, sipping on my pumpkin juice.

"You know you don't have to be so gloomy all the time Jade," Ginny chuckled.

"I try not to be," I said in a sarcastic tone. I had always been like this, I couldn't help myself.

I was actually excited for this year tho, But one thing was bothering me. All my friends were in relationships. I mean I was happy for them but I don't know i just thought I'd be in one too by this age.

"Hey, are you ok? Olivia said elbowing me on my arm. She was my best friend, I was really close to Ginny as well but no one knew me better than Liv did.

"Yeah, I'm good just... not that hungry," I said pushing my plate away. I looked up to see George Weasley's arm around her. I looked away, only to see Dean and Ginny. "I'm going to go sleep. Good night." I said getting up and walking out of the great hall.

When did Dean and Ginny get together? Honestly, no one tells me anything! I wasn't surprised at Liv and George. They fancied each other and finally told each other at the end of last year. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice the person I bumped into.

"I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" I said looking up to see who I bumped into. Lorenzo Berkshire. Hogwarts hottest. He'd probably slept with most of the girls at Hogwarts, at least that's what Liv told me.

"I'm okay, are you?" He said looking at me with his beautiful Hazel eyes. This is probably how he gets those girls to sleep with him. Snap out of it Jade!

"I'm great. Now, If you'll excuse me" I said trying to get out of his way.

"What's the rush, Allen?" He said swinging his arm in front of me as a way of blocking my way.

I sighed. "Will you move?" I tried pushing his arm away.

"What's got your wand in a knot, Jade?" He said. I kept walking and forcing myself not to look back at his beautiful face. "Good Night," He said in a sing-song tone.

As much as I hated admitting it, Lorenzo Berkshire was a very good looking guy. I had always noticed him and his dark brown hair, his hazel eyes, his chiseled face. Ugh.

It was just a small crush and besides, I'm a Gryffindor and He's a Slytherin. It was never going to work.

I showered and changed out of my uniform, into my comfy pajamas and slipped into bed.

The next morning I woke up to Liv dancing around the room and Ginny throwing pillows at her.

"Morning," I said in my terrible morning voice whilst stretching my arms out.

"Good morning" Liv said happily dancing around our dorm keeping her eye out for incoming pillows.

"What's up with her?" I asked, noticing her unusually hyper behavior.

"She's going on a date with George are going on a date on Saturday," Ginny fake gagged.

"Oh come on. Seriously everyone either has a boyfriend or girlfriend" I said putting my face into my pillow being overdramatic.

"It's okay jade! There's much more fish in the sea" Liv said trying to make me feel better.

"Mhm, Maybe be a slytherin?" I chuckled.

"Like Lorenzo Berkshire and Draco Malfoy?" Liv raised her eyebrows and smiled. "You know, you and Draco might work out. You're both mean as fuck," She said jokingly.

"How about Fred?" Ginny said as she got up to pick her pillows up from the floor.

"Fred? Fred Weasley?" I said, acting really confused and getting a fresh uniform from my dresser. "Your brother" I scoffed.

"Well it's ok... even if he did talk about you this whole summer," Ginny said as she put her uniform on. "He was so smitten over you. It was quite disturbing actually"

Fred Weasley talking about me? Of course he was.

"Impossible," I said putting on my robe. He was supposed to keep his mouth shut.

"Ok if you say so," Ginny said.

Liv and I had potions together so we walked through the hallways and down to the dungeons to get our class.

"Thank God we have a new professor," Liv said patting down her hair.

"Don't get your expectations too high" I said. "He might just be worse than Snape." We finally reached potions and walked into the classroom. My eyes caught Lorenzo and I quickly looked away.

Potions with Slytherin? Ugh, such a great way to start the week.

"Morning Ms. Jesson and Ms. Allen," Said the new professor. "As you all know I am Professor Slughorn your new Potions Professor.

Potions was easy but I couldn't seem to move my eyes away from Lorenzo it was like they were glued to him. He looked really hot in his Slytherin robes.

After class had ended Liv and I walked out to go to our next class.

"I am a pretty boy but you don't have to keep staring at me to prove it," Said Enzo as he nudged me in the arm.

Shit. Shit. Shit. Why do I feel butterflies in my stomach? I am not supposed to be feeling like this. "Ouch," I said rubbing my arm.

"Go annoy someone else Berkshire" Liv rolled her eyes as she pulled me away from him. I chuckled and waved goodbye.

Hi! So this story is based of my favorite singer Tate McRae's songs. Her song "That Way" is one of my favorite and decided to make a story related to it and her other songs as well so I hope you like it ;)
