Kindergarten Teacher's Note

Heart

Dear Mommy & Daddy Heart,

Heart is a wonderful boy. He is always energetic (doubt it will ever exhaust itself ^^) and cheerful so it is common to see him smile and laugh with his classmates. He is a very helpful and kind boy. Yesterday he helped a classmate who scrapped his knee by using his hanky to wrap it around. He is generous and always willing to share his snacks and stationery hence he have many friends and knows almost the whole kindergarten people.

All he talks about is nong Gear from Sunshine class (must be very good friends) and One Piece until us teachers can recall the characters by heart even none of us watches One Piece. Other than being a cute little chatter box, his homework is perfect and he seem to get his lessons and passes his exams effortlessly. Would suggest mommy and daddy to take him for special placement tests to see if he can get into advance classes.

Love

Dear Mommy & Daddy Love,

Would love to inform you that Love did very well in her art class and her art work will be featured on our post board with other selected work pieces. It will be up for review when we have our parents day visit.

Usually Love is a calm little girl who enjoys reading her books but would like to highlight an event that happened today. Another little girl wanted to read the book she was reading and tugged slightly hard for it. When the little girl commented why there aren't any pictures, Love said, "Why do you want to know? As if you are smart enough to get it"

Fortunately the little girl did not understand the meaning and did not get too upset. While personally I am very grateful that my 5 year old charge can use mature sentences like these, our school policy do not encourage sentences exchange such as these. I have spoken to Love and she understood and promised not to use sarcasm again with her 5 year old classmates.

Kwan

Dear Mommy & Daddy Kwan,

Kwan taught 3 other boys boxing and punched each and everyone of them in the face and under there. The three boys were not badly injured but each will have a light bruise on their face for a few days.

It's very kind of Kwan to share her hobbies but kindly remind Kwan not to bring her boxing gloves to kindergarten again. The same goes for the make-up kit. She showed her toy lipstick to a female classmate and the classmate accidentally ate it thinking it was candy. So sorry.

Waan

Dear Mommy & Daddy Waan,

We have our spelling lesson today, when we got to the word "pet" and "cat" Waan got distracted and focus in her lesson because she wouldn't stop talking about how a cat is better than a baby sister so she got punished to sit in the "think corner" for five minutes.

During lunch, she went to play with a stray cat which snuck into the kindergarten playground and came back smelling of cat poo. We did our best to clean off her shoes but perhaps it is best they are rewashed again. Also, she had minor scratches on her hand from the stray cat. We also clean that with disinfectant.

Usually Waan is a calm and quiet child who does not talk too much until pets are mentioned.

She really wants a pet.

Namtarn

Dear Mommy & Daddy Namtarn,

Namtarn was caught stealing food from her other classmates. When we asked her why she did that, she said her daddy was putting her on strict dieting and not letting her eat any food for an upcoming little miss sunshine pageant.

May I please request an urgent meeting to discuss this matter? Would love to be of help in anyway to get to the root of Namtarn's dietary issue and also her habit of taking other kids' food.

That aside, Namtarn is a bubbly girl in class. In her essay, she said she wants to live in a giant cake.

Gear

Dear Mommy & Daddy Gear,

We had our nature tour today at the forest park nearby the kindergarten. Gear was very excited to explore and he asked a lot of questions to the park rangers. We realized that Gear has a strong fascination with crawly creatures and mud.

While helping wash his hands, I found that he has a handful of wet mud and umm, most probably 2 live worms in his pocket. He wouldn't let me help me throw them away saying it's a present for his daddy.

Just a heads up.

Light

Dear Mommy & Daddy Light,

Light was being naughty when he passed a can of coke to a classmate after shaking it. The can of course sprayed all over when the classmate opened it and ruined his shirt.

Light was made to write "I will not play tricks on my classmate" for 15 times. When asked why Light did it, he said "buttholes deserve what buttholes get". This classmate did have a squabble  with Light before it over a piece of biscuit. I am concerned to  where he could learn to say "buttholes deserves what buttholes get". Would strongly recommend the programs you let him watch. Other than that, Light is a smart and funny boy in the class. He likes to imitate the laughter of a mad scientist.
