Dream House

It was after dinner, Ming and Kit are snuggling while watching TV. Suddenly Kit starts sniffing and Ming notices.

"Baby, you okay?" Kit wipes his eyes and shakes his head. Ming straightens himself to look at his spouse.

"Tell me, what's wrong?" Ming asked, going near to Kit. Kit shakes his head again.

"I...it's nothing. I'm just getting emotional over something really small" 

"Baby, tell me"

With that, Kit sniffs some more and then starts crying.

"I'm sorry...I...really can't help myself...from sobbing. I was just thinking about the house we went to see the other day. The one you and I love so much? Just when we decide to buy the house yesterday, I called the agent this morning but...it's already sold to someone...I...I..." Kit cries and Ming hugs him.

"Kit-Kat....,"
"I know I shouldn't cry over something like this but...I really do love that house and..."
"You saw us and our family growing there yes?" Kit nods his head. Ming wipes his tears away,

Kit calms himself, "It's okay. I understand sometimes it's not meant to be. I'll be fine, just let me sleep it off" Ming kisses his forehead.

"Cheer up Kitty, don't cry...You know what, let's do something to cheer you up tomorrow. I'll take you out ok?" Ming says and Kit nods before snuggling with Ming again.

-Tomorrow-

Stepping down the car, Kit is confused.

"Ming, why are we here?"
"Well, why not?" Ming says happily, locking their car and grabbing Kit by the hand. They arrive at the house they wanted to buy.

"Are you playing me? Didn't I tell you this house is sold off to someone else?" Kit asks, feeling his temper rising but Ming is still smiling like nothing is wrong.

"Yes you did but baby, come on, let's check this place out one more time," with that Ming drags Kit by the hand to the front door. He is about to open the front door when Kit stops him.

"Ming, stop. What are you doing? It's trespassing!"
"Let us try our luck shall we? Maybe the door's left open?" Ming twists the knob and surprisingly the door opens. Kit is surprised.

"I guess someone forgets to lock up. Come on in. Now imagine Kit, this being our house. How would you decorate it?"

"Ming..." Kit isn't sure.
"Try it, please baby, one more last time?" Ming pouts his famous puppy pouts.

Kit sighs, "Fine. This is the living room, facing the glass windows, I'll have curtains up, then a flat screen TV here. This is the play area for our kids or pets. This is the dining table and counter, the kitchen, tiles, will be marbles. Your BBQ machine will be outside the yard. I want the huge fridge we saw, it will fit the kitchen. And then, this room leading to the basement can be your work room. And upstairs, there are a few rooms. Ours, the babies, and my work room. And...Ming...this is making me teary. Can we please go?"

Ming stops Kit and hugs him from behind.

"Do you really love this house so badly?"

"Yes..." Kit sniffs again. Ming turns him around, wipes his tears again and smiles.

"Then, let's live here. Let's make this house, our home," Ming says.
"You are not listening. I just told you it got sold off-," Kit was cut short when Ming takes out a bunch of house keys from his pocket. Kit is speechless.

"What does this means?" Kit asks, just to be sure. His heart starts to pace up.

"Means, I bought this place for us. This is your home. This is my home. This is our home," Ming says.

Kit shakily takes the keys from Ming and smiles, happy tears flowing down his cheeks.

"Thank you Ming, thank you!" Ming hugs his spouse.
"No, thank you. You are giving me a family here so this is the least I could do. I love you so much, my Kit-Kat," Ming professes his love for the love of his life.

"I love you very much too,"

Yes, Ming would give anything to for his family.
