An Overdue Valentine

Q: Who is your Valentine and what do you want to give or do for this special person?

Heart, 8 years old: GEAR! Mommy said my Valentine must be someone I want to share my cookies with and always wants to kiss so it is GEAR! Kwan can't be my Valentine because I don't mind sharing cookies with her but I don't want to kiss her all the time. Maybe sometimes. Oh, Mommy let me make cookies for Gear. Gear likes cookies. Maybe I can kiss him, on the cheek! 

Love, 5 years old: Daddy! Daddy is taking me to his dinner party on Valentine's Day! Mommy even bought me a dress! I made daddy a love shape card and kissed it with mommy's lipstick. Maybe he might buy me a dolly too. I love daddy. 

Kwan, 8 years old: Urgh, my Valentine!? Mommy of course. Why isn't daddy? Well, I am with daddy like everyday but I don't get to see mommy often because he's busy helping sick people. So yes, my Valentine will be mommy. Don't tell him. I made him a charm bracelet from colored rubber bands. Daddy wouldn't get it. I bet he'll be jealous. 

Wan, 7 years old: Kitty the cat. I'm not choosing between mommy and daddy for Valentine because they will get jealous at each other no matter who I choose. Any special boy or girl? Ewww, no. Only Kitty. I will give Kitty milk. 

Namtarn, 5 years old: Valentine! I want chocolates! Daddy promised to buy me chocolates if I choose him so for Valentine's Day, I choose daddy! How to make daddy happy? Ummm....I can put make-up on him. I am practicing on my dollies, I am good. 

Gear, 8 years old: ....*blushes*.....*looks away*....I don't....have a Valentine. *looks back to the interviewer* Huh? You heard that my daddy is waiting for someone to give him chocolates? .....*runs to his mom* Mom, can we go to the candy store please? I...want to eat candy. No....I'm not buying...for daddy....maybe...one piece. Will I buy for Heart too? No. He is rich. His mommy will buy him candies. Daddy spent all his pocket money and he is broke. I'll buy him one. 

Light, 5 years old: Mom~my! Mommy, mommy, mommy! Happy Valentine's Day! Mommy! I got him flowers. Picked them from the garden! Oh, oh, I think I will go catch him some buggies! Like a butterfly, a pretty butterfly for mommy. Oh, I think I'll make a card too and stick the butterfly on it. Awesome!
