Chapter 19

CHAPTER NINETEEN

We went to the mall that day with the group. It was already late but we insisted to celebrate that day. Kael treated us to a restaurant, we went to an arcade and Yana rocked the whole karaoke. Nag-away pa nga si Kate at Yana dahil nahihiya na raw si Kate sa pinaggagagawa nung isa. Hindi naman na kami nakisali sa sagutan nung dalawa dahil nakakagawa na sila ng eksena roon. Monica tried to stop them but I guess no one and nothing can stop a Tolentino and an Agoncillo.

"Hoy, hayaan mo 'ko rito! Kung gusto mo kumanta ka mamaya! Just let me fucking finish this song!" Yana shouted at Kate and closed the karaoke room she's in. Hindi niya ata alam na hindi naman soundproof 'yon kaya rinig na rinig siya sa labas.

Umirap si Kate at pinagkrus ang kamay niya sa dibdib niya. "Sino ba naman kasing hindi maririndi kung ang kinakanta niya roon sa loob ay 'yung Isang Linggong Pag-ibig? My god!"

"Hayaan mo na 'yon, Kate," Julius said. Kate went to the claw machine with Julius. Monica ordered for our food while Kael and I went to a basketball game area.

Kael held a ball and I took a picture of him secretly. The ball will always go inside the ring everytime he shoots. Nagtataka nga ako e, bakit hindi sumali si Kael sa basketball team? Nandoon naman si Julius para makasama niya. Siguro mas gusto niya talaga ang pagsayaw kaysa sa mga sports.

"So basketball player ka na niyan?" I asked him while laughing. Good thing that my father wasn't home because he has things to take care of in Laguna. Pinayagan naman kami ni Kuya Elton basta kasama si Yana at si Julius. I don't know if Yana told him that Kael's coming. Si Yana kasi ang nagpaalam sa 'min sa lahat ng guardian o parents namin at ang dahilan niya, mayroon daw siyang persuading power at kaya niyang ipa-oo ang lahat.

"Baby, let's play one shoot, one kiss." He smirked at me. I hit him with my bag and rolled my eyes at him. "Come on, it's my birthday!"

"Ano ngayon? Kailangan mo ba ng halik pa—" I was cut off from my words when he suddenly kissed me on the lips. I stiffened and he just chuckled before throwing the ball into the ring. "H-Hoy, foul!"

Pinanood ko lang siya habang naglalaro siya mag-isa roon and he would always steal a kiss! Ang unfair lang kasi lagi niyang nasho-shoot 'yung bola! He even dared me to shoot at least one ball but I declined because I really am not the sporty type of girl.

Maya-maya ay dumating sina Kate at Julius kasama si Monica na may dalang chips at drinks. Kate was hugging a stuff toy while Julius is laughing. Both of the boys played basketball while us, girls, watched them. Yana is still singing with emotions at the karaoke room. May ilang napapatingin na sa kanya pero noong nakita niya 'yon ay sinara niya 'yung kurtina pero inirapan muna kami.

"Bakit namumula ka, Elle?" Monica asked me. I quickly grabbed my phone and looked at myself at the camera. Nang iangat ko ang mukha ko ay nakita ko ang pagngisi ni Kael.

"Ah may nangyari," Kate said and laughed. Pakiramdam ko tuloy namumula na buong mukha ko rito! Grabe naman kasi si Kael, kung ano-anong technique ang ginagamit niya kaya nagkakaganito. Kailangan ba talaga na may reward siya kapag nakaka-shoot siya?

Kael called me and made me come closer to him. He made me hold the ball in my hands and I was stopped when I felt his body at the back holding my arms, trying to teach me how to shoot the ball. I heard Kate's teasing laugh and Julius' chuckles while cheering for Kael. Napapikit nalang ako nang mariin at hinayaang i-guide ni Kael ang mga kamay ko para mai-shoot ko 'yung bola sa ring. Pagmulat ko ay nakita ko nalang na naka-shoot pala ako.

"K-Kael, what are you doing?" I whispered. I heard Yana's squeals and Kate's curses. Monica and Julius were laughing at us. Mas lalo lang akong nahihiya, my god!
