Chapter 13

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

"Hey Monica! Come sit with us!" Yana yelled when we saw Monica looking for a place to sit. Napatingin sa'kin si Monica at ngumiti naman ako sa kanya kaya tumungo siya sa pwesto namin. She sat beside me, in front of her is Kate, who is ranting about the mayonnaise on her burger.

Ever since that issue about her came out, wala nang masyadong nakikipag-usap kay Monica. It's like they disgust her because some students here show that emotion. Sometimes, I can see Monica crying in the bathroom because of what is happening, I can hear her blaming herself for this issue.

Tahimik namang kumain si Monica habang kasama kami. Sumasagot naman siya kapag tinatanong siya nina Yana regarding sa mga pangarap niya at sa hobbies niya pero napapatigil din kami tuwing may dadaang ibang students na magpaparinig kay Monica dahil anak siya sa labas.

"Uy, hindi ba 'yon 'yung anak sa labas ng isa sa mga investors sa school natin? Si Mr. Navarro? Grabe, akala ko pa naman mayaman at perpekto, bunga pala siya ng pagkakamali! Kawawa naman, she's a mistake, sana pala..." A student beside us said. I clenched my fist and was about to speak when Monica held my hand and said don't.

"Oo nga sis, grabe, nakakahiya. Ang laking eskanda—"

"Can you please shut the hell up? It's not your damn business! Diba bago lang kayo rito sa school na 'to? Am I right, kids?" Kate suddenly said. Nang lingunin ko siya ay obvious namang pinipigilan niya lang ang sarili niya sa pananampal doon sa magkaibigang nagbubulungan.

"Y-Yes po..." The student who has a dark blonde hair said.

"So don't act like you know everything kung nalaman niyo lang 'yan sa tsismis!" Kate shouted. Kinakabahang tumango ang dalawang babae at umalis na sa canteen. Hinawi ni Kate ang side bangs niya at napairap. "God, those kids! I cannot handle kids anymore! It's not like they're involve here, napakapakialamera ng mga bwisit!"

"Kate, 'di mo naman kailangan gawin 'yon," Monica said.

"And what? Let them speak cruel to you? No way! We're now friends and if someone speaks nasty about you, I'll show them how a real bitch talks nasty! God, this is why I hate transferees! Porket 'yon ang narinig nilang balita, they would act like they know everything and act like they are already familiar with SMC's history and the investors' background!" Kate screamed and rolled her eyes. Natawa naman kami dahil kumunot ang noo ni Kael at napatingin kay Kate.

"Baby, do you think I act like I know everything?" Kael pouted. Isang malakas na 'ew' ang nakuha namin sa mga kaibigan naming nandito sa table.

"Oh forget it, I already know everything because I know you. You're my everything, baby," Kael said and smirked. Naubo si Yana at binato kaming dalawa ni Kael ng tissue at natawa. Julius was just laughing at Kate who has disgust plastered all over her face.

Napairap si Monica at sinabing, "Gosh! Alexander's pick-up lines are still alive! Mas naging cheesy pala ngayon! Elle, how are you coping up with his cheesiness?"

Natawa nang malakas si Yana. "So it means ginamitan ka rin ni Kael ng pick-up lines dati?" Tumango si Monica na lalong ikinatawa ni Yana. Julius was making faces and Kael will always kick his leg under the table.

"What lines did he say to you?" Kate asked while laughing.

"Nica, don't, please..." Kael said and closed his eyes.

Natatawa akong tumingin sa kanya. He's obviously stopping himself from punching Julius and shout at Yana and Kate dahil paniguradong mahihiya siya. He's calming himself down kahit na halata namang hindi niya magagawa. He squeezed my hand and that made me face him.
