I opened my eyes slowly to see some of my classmates around me. They all wore concerned faces but quickly fled once a dark figure came over.
"Mei. Are you alright? Is it the same as before?" My dad quickly asked.
"It felt the same as before." I groggily answered as I sat up. I noticed some odd glances from my classmates about our teacher being so close to me.
"Are you sure you should sit up?" Momo asked as she came over.
"I'm fine." I gave her a genuine smile. "What happened after? Did I stop the rest of the test?" I quickly questioned, concerned that I ruined it.
"Well once you fell over onto Bakugo he caught you and Aizawa had him carry you to the nurse. Once she said you'd be alright we went back to the test but came back quickly to check up on you." Jirou explained.
"I should probably thank him. Where is he?"
"Oh Kacchan left a bit ago." Izuku informed me.
After a while of people checking in on me the guys left but Momo, Jirou, and Tsuyu stayed by me and we all talked.
"I don't want to seem rude but can I ask you something?" Momo asked me hesitantly.
"Of course."
"Why is Aizawa so close to you?"
"Oh." I rubbed my neck slightly nervous to tell anyone about this. "Please don't tell anyone but he's actually my dad." I finished.
"Your dad?" They all exclaimed.
"Well to be precise he's my adoptive father. He adopted me when I was three. Even when he was busy being a hero he still always put me first." I told them. They then promised that they wouldn't tell anyone and I thanked them.
Once the nurse said I was free to go, the four of us got up and said goodbye to each other as we went home.
As I was walking home a girl bumped into me which sent us both flying to the opposite sides. I felt a sharp pain in my arm but just shrugged it off as a soon to be bruise and looked at the fallen girl.
"I'm so sorry. Are you alright?" I quickly asked the girl who was still in a school uniform.
"I'm fine, don't worry about it." She gave a sort of disturbing smile back but I once again brushed away that detail. She then turned and walked away. She was a bit strange but I thought it best to go straight home to talk to my dad.
"Dad I'm home." I alerted him as I entered the small apartment. It was disheveled like my dad but at least I made sure it smelled nice with my candles.
"How are you feeling?" He asked as he groggily came out of his room.
"I'm doing a lot better now. I'm still not sure why this is happening but at least I didn't ruin things too bad today." I half smiled, still upset that I interrupted the tests.
"Mei, look at me." He said in all seriousness. I looked up into his concerned eyes to see that he was truly troubled. "You didn't ruin anything today. Okay? Nothing was ruined. But I'm not so sure becoming a hero is the best idea if your condition continues let alone worsens."
"But dad I want to be like you. I want to be able to help people and stand up against the wrong. I want to be strong like you." I felt tears start to form in my eyes as I said that.
"Mei please don't cry." He rushed in to catch me in a tight hug. "You are so strong and with training you will be able to do amazing things." I looked at him teary eyed with a small smile. "Tomorrow we'll see how it goes and then we'll decide, okay?"
"Okay." I wiped my tears away and wished my dad a goodnight as I went to my small room.
I looked around my walls that were covered in posters of heroes. Maybe now that I finally made some friends I could make a photo wall. I'd never made a friend before.
I slowly closed my eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.
