Chapter 21

"What do you mean you can't switch the agency?" I heard my dad yell once my brain woke up. I never actually slept last night but I did eventually stop crying. 

"What is he yelling about so early?" I asked myself as I got up. 

"I get that Nezu but I can't have her at the same agency as him." I could hear him yell. 

I didn't even pay attention to him once I opened my door and put my shoes on to go meet up with everyone else for our internships. 

"Mei wait!" I could hear from behind me but I was quick enough to get away from him without having to look at him. 

I wanted to get there before my dad would get there so I could hopefully see Katsuki for a bit before we are separated. Once I got there Deku came up to me which was odd for him. 

"I heard you are being switched to work with Best Jeanist instead of FatGum. Apparently, FatGum got hurt in a mission yesterday and the only available space is with Best Jeanist." Deku told me. 

"Really?" I assumed that's why my dad was so angry this morning. "Is Katsuki here yet?" 

"He went straight to the corner over there." Deku pointed over to a sad-looking Katsuki. "I don't know why he's so down today. Kirishima tried to cheer him up but ended up getting blasted with an explosion." 

I quickly ran over to where Katsuki was and sat down next to him. I could see his eyes light up and he started for a hug but stopped. 

"Katsuki just hug me." He obliged and brought me into a tight hug. 

"Is everything okay at home?"

"I'm just ignoring him. But did you hear the news?" He shook his head. "I'm going to be joining you under Best Jeanist." I smiled. 

"Really?" I could see the excitement covering his face so clearly. 

"I heard my dad trying to change it but Nezu said he couldn't." At that moment everyone started to say that Aizawa sensei was there. 

"Mei and Bakugo I need to talk to you two." He announced as he led us both to a different area. "I'm assuming you've already heard the news." We both nodded. "Well I have already let Best Jeanist know the situation so he will keep an eye on you two but I'm trusting that when he isn't around you will not do anything." He looked at me sternly. 

"Okay." I started to walk away with Katsuki until my dad grabbed my arm. 

"Bakugo I need to talk to her." I gave him a nod to let him know he could go. 

"I don't want any more lectures."

"Look, I'm sorry. You're my daughter and I didn't think I'd have to worry about this for a long time. I'm just concerned, you have to understand that." He said much calmer than before. 

"Then you have to understand that Katsuki makes me happy. Yes last night was rushed and we could have thought about that better but I've never been this happy." 

"Mei." He started but I just turned away from him. 

"I have to get going." 

After my dad's speech to the class we all separated into the directions we needed to go.

"What did he say when I left?" Katsuki asked, concerned that he might have upset me more.

"He was trying to apologize but I just can't deal with him right now." I sighed.

"We should just try and focus on hero training." He grabbed me into a side hug as we walked to the train.
