By lunchtime, everyone was excited about the sports festival and that was all any of us could talk about. Uraraka especially was scary excited.

"Uraraka, I didn't think you'd be the one so hyped for this." I slightly laughed at her.

"Is that bad?" She paused for a second, lowering her hands.

"No, it's good! I haven't seen you like this before. I want to be able to know the different sides of you." I smiled.

Momo, Jirou, and I headed down to the cafeteria for lunch while talking about or training plans. We all agreed on training together as well as separately.

"So Mei, do you like anyone here?" Jirou questioned. I could tell that this was related to what happened earlier today with Katsuki.

"Why would you ask that?" I stumbled over my words a bit.

"Well considering you are nervous and blushing I think Jirou is right." Momo nudged me.

"Is it Bakugo?" Mina asked, jumping into our conversation.

"Or is it Todoroki?" Tsu chimed in.

"Well, how about who do you like Jirou?" I shot back.

"No, you can't change the subject! Tell us. We're your friends aren't we?" She gave me a pout.

"Don't give me that look!" Then everyone else joined in. "I don't know how I feel okay. My dad already said no to guys and I really don't want to go against what he says."

"A forbidden romance? So romantic!" Mina shouted. I quickly covered her mouth since we got a few strange looks our way.

"No, it's not like that. Like I said I don't know how I feel about him."

"At least it's not a girl." Momo commented.

"Why would that be a big deal?" I shot back almost immediately.

"Oh sorry, that came out wrong! It's just I like a girl and I wouldn't want to have to compete against you for her." Momo blushed while looking at her hands. I noticed Jirou's shocked expression that also showed a bit of sadness.

"Who is it?" Mina interrogated.

"You don't have to tell us if you don't want to but let me just say whoever this girl is must be really lucky." I gave a smile to Momo as I pulled her into a comforting hug.

After lunch finished I pulled Jirou to the side while telling everyone to go on ahead of us. I brought her to a place where no one was around so we couldn't be heard.

"You like her don't you?" I looked Jirou right in the eyes.

"Yes."

"You should tell her then!" I got a little excited at the thought of my best friends being together.

"But you heard her! She likes someone." She sighed.

"Don't you think that someone could be you? Who else would it be? Who else does she spend all her time around?"

"But what if you're wrong? It would be so awkward if it isn't me."

"If you don't tell her you will regret it for the rest of your life."

"I might but then I could keep my friend." Jirou was starting to get upset so I knew I should stop.

"How about this, write her a song and if you want to ask her out then play it for her. If not then it's just a way to get your feelings out." She nodded in agreement and we went to the classroom.

Once we neared the class we noticed a large group of people around the entrance. They must be scouting out the enemies for the festival. As soon as we got close enough I heard Bakugo yelling. I pushed through all the people to see what was happening. Unfortunately, I tripped on someone's foot and bumped into a tall purple-haired guy who was talking to Bakugo.

"I'm so sorry." I quickly apologized to the stranger.

"You don't need to apologize to a damn extra!" Bakugo seethed.

"Stop going around calling people extra's!" I fought back. "Let me just apologize for our angry guy. We're not all like him I promise." I said to the purple guy while attempting to hold Katsuki back.

"I'm going to be number one so might as well let all these idiots know it!" I just slapped my forehead in annoyance.

"Will you shut up? I know you think you're all high and mighty but don't forget that you still have a long way to go before you can be a hero. And who wants to be saved by a hero who only cares about himself?" I was shocked by my sudden outburst and was prepared to be killed at that moment. Surprisingly Bakugo just turned and left without saying or doing anything.

"Mei are you alright?" Momo rushed up to me.

"That was so manly! Just telling him off like that." Kirishima applauded me.

I just smiled at them Kiri and pushed past the people to go after Katsuki. I rushed out of the building while looking everywhere for him until I finally spotted his figure in the distance.

"Katsuki!" I shouted to get his attention. He saw me and just walked faster away from me. "Don't walk away from me. I want to apologize." I sighed at him. He didn't listen and continued to walk away. I activated my quirk and created a wind wall to keep him from going anywhere. "Look I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. You were just being rude and I didn't want people to hate you."

"Why would you even care if people hated me?" He growled.

"Because you're my friend and I care about you. I don't want to see you get hurt." His angry face softened for a second before he looked the other way.

"Would you like to train with me tomorrow Katsuki? I'm getting a new tool to use so I need to practice it."

"Sure." That was all he said but I could tell that he wasn't mad at the idea.

"Can I have your phone number so I can text you the location?" I handed him my phone and he quickly put his name and number in. "King Explosion Murder? Really? Well, I guess that is very you." I let out a small laugh. I then turned to my camera's selfie side and put Baugo behind me. I threw up a peace sign and took the photo before he could do anything.

"What the hell? Why'd you take my picture, you idiot?" He barked.

"Well, I need a contact photo for you of course." He tried to get my phone to delete the picture but I was too quick for him to get it. "I'll see you tomorrow Katsuki." I laughed as I ran back into the school to meet up with my dad.

"You wanted to see me?" I said in case any students were around when I entered my dad's office.

"Since the sports festival is coming up I thought you might want to get back to practicing with this." He handed me my old scarf that was like his that I used when I was younger.

"Having a new tool will definitely be a nice trick. Can I use it for my training tomorrow?" I asked. He nodded and handed it to me carefully.

"Just be careful with it and make sure not to hurt anyone." I listened to his instructions as he reminded me how to use it.

"Well, I'm going to head home and get some sleep to prepare for tomorrow."

I got all my stuff together and walked back to our house to get a bit of studying before resting. I got a bit distracted though once I heard a ding from my phone. I opened it to see a text from 'King Explosion Murder'.

"Katsuki." I let out a small sigh thinking about him. I realized what I did and quickly shook the thoughts out of my head. He asked where we were meeting so I sent him directions to the open area I usually practice.

'Meet me here at 10 am.' I sent it to him.

'Got it. Good night.' He sent back. I was caught off guard by the good night text but sent one back and closed my phone. Hopefully, tomorrow will go well.
