Chapter 17

"I need to get back for the next battle. Will you be okay by yourself?" My dad asked as he sat up from the hospital bed.

"I'll be fine." I assured.

As he got up I started to hear loud steps getting closer and closer until the door swung open and I saw Katsuki's tired self.

"You can't be here." I heard my dad growl but all I could focus on were Katsuki's scared eyes.

"Are you okay?" He started to come closer to me but my dad used his scarf and stopped him from moving.

"It's okay. He can be here."

"You need to leave Mei alone. All you're gonna do is hurt her more." I could see the pure anger on my dad's face.

"Aizawa sensei I just want to talk to her." Katsuki gave a bit of a growl in return.

"Let go of him." I started to try and get up but fell quickly as my arm didn't have its full strength back yet.

"Mei." They both moved to me but Katsuki couldn't make it since he was still trapped.

"I'm fine."

"Sweetheart you shouldn't be moving. Just lay down and recover." My dad adjusted my body so I would be more comfortable.

"Sweetheart? Mei! Is Aizawa sensei your dad?" Katsuki asked, shocked.

"I am which is why I don't want you to be around her anymore. Look at all the bruises and injuries she has!" Unfortunately, he pointed at some of my hickeys which just made me blush. I looked at Katsuki and he just gave out a little chuckle and smirk. "Do you think this is funny?"

"Dad, please just go back. Let me talk to Katsuki." I begged.

"Fine, but Recovery Girl is right outside if he tries anything." He glared at Katsuki as he left the room. Katsuki quickly rushed to my side and grabbed my hand.

"Baby, I'm so sorry." I looked into his eyes to see the genuine concern in them.

"I'm okay. It wasn't your fault." I smiled back.

"It is my fault. I'm the reason you got so hurt." His eyes started to water.

"Katsuki look at me. You were not the cause of this." I then told him what Recovery Girl had told me.

"Do you know what caused it?" He questioned.

"I don't remember much of my childhood honestly."

"Did Aizawa sensei do something to you? Is that why you are in such bad shape?" I could see his body tense in anger at the thought.

"God no! Aizawa sensei saved my life. He adopted me when I was younger and gave me a good home." Katsuki's muscles relaxed as I said that.

"Can I lay down next to you for a bit?" I nodded and moved over enough for him to fit. He laid down on his back and I moved to rest my head on his chest. He tensed when I first put my head on him but relaxed and wrapped his arm around me.

"I wish we could just stay like this forever." I looked up at Katsuki as he stared down at me. "I'm glad my dad didn't realize what all these bruises are." I let out a small laugh as I brushed the mark on his jaw.

"I just wish everyone else could know that those were put there by me." He smirked as he brushed my hair to the side to see his work.

"Well, I will have to say that these are bruises I got from fighting you so everyone will know."

"But they won't know what they really are and what they mean." He pointed out.

"And what do they mean?"

"That you belong to me." He smirked and moved to give me a kiss on my forehead.

"What am I? A stuffed animal?"

"Yes, you are my teddy bear." He chuckled.

"You asshole." I muttered as I moved my head back onto his chest. "Wait don't you have to fight soon?"

"I'll go once you fall asleep." He said while playing with my hair.

"Katsuki you need to go." I insisted.

"Teddy bear, I want to make sure you get some rest, or I won't be able to focus on my fight."

"Fine."

"Good girl." I dug my head into his chest so he wouldn't see my blush.

I was able to relax by listening to Katsuki's slow breathing as he played with my hair and I soon started to fall asleep. I hugged him tighter the more I drifted off so he couldn't leave me. I never wanted to lose him.
