Mine (Bakugo x Reader)

Chapter 8

I was surrounded by darkness and I could hear beeping sounds but I couldn't move. 

"How is she?" 

"She'll be okay she just needs rest." 

"How much longer till she's awake?"

I could hear everyone worrying about me but I couldn't let them know I was okay. I also didn't hear anything about my dad so I didn't know if he was okay or not. 

"Can she hear us?"

Yes, I can hear you.

"It is possible but highly unlikely with her amount of injuries."

I just wanted to know if anyone got hurt. Someone, please tell me. 

"Hey Mei. It's me." I recognized Katsuki's voice right away. "If you can hear me then please wake up soon. Aizawa sensei has bad injuries but he'll make a full recovery. I know you were worried about him. Momo and Jirou are fine too. Everyone is fine. So please come back." 

And then everything was silent. The silence filled my head but I was relieved that everyone was okay. 

"She moved! Recovery Girl! She moved!" I recognized my dad's voice in an instant.

"Daddy." I was able to mumble.

"It's okay sweetheart I'm right here." I could tell he was getting emotional. 

My eyes slowly were able to flutter open and I was surrounded by a bright light. I looked for my dad but my eyes filled with tears.

"What the hell happened to your face?" I laughed at my dad's mummy face. "Should I call you mummy from now on?" 

"She's okay." I heard him sigh.

"But are you okay?"

"How could you be worried about me? You are the student who ran straight at a villain! You could have died!" 

"I'm sorry but I'm fine now. Just a few injuries." I tried to cheer the mood up a bit.

"You have no idea how scared I was. I don't think I'll ever be able to repay Midoriya and Bakugo. You would most likely be dead without them." He let out a low sigh. 

"Wait Bakugo?"

"Yes, he protected you from any sort of damage that would come near you and carried you to safety. But that does not mean I approve of him!" He added quickly.

"What do you mean approve of?" I really hoped he didn't mean what I thought.

"You are not allowed to date him. He may have protected you but his anger issues could hurt you."

"I don't like him like that!" I could feel the blush on my face trying to grow.

"Then why did you sleep on him on your way to USJ and why did he protect you? You even had part of his costume to stop your bleeding. I doubt he'd do that for just anyone." 

"I was tired and he was just being nice!" I tried to defend my actions as much as possible but it was quite obvious that I was not believed. 

"Well just so you know no one was seriously hurt. Midoriya had some broken bones and All Might was put in a tough spot."

"Yeah, I heard everyone was safe but did All Might revert to his normal form in front of anyone?" I was one of the first to know about All Might because when I was younger he saved me and reverted to his normal form and had me and Aizawa keep it a secret. 

"How'd you hear that?" He questioned. Another light blush formed since Bakugo was the one who told me this.

"I just heard it earlier." I muttered. He just gave me a look and then went to go to Recovery Girl. I could overhear them talking about my recovery process. 

"You can get dressed." He handed me a nicely folded uniform. "If you want you can come back to class." I aggressively nodded my head. I wanted to see everyone as soon as possible. "You can't do too much so take everything slowly. No training, running, or anything like that." 

"Okay!" I jumped up to go to the bathroom to get dressed before class started. It was definitely a bit painful to move so quickly but for the most part I could ignore it. My dad already left so I went to class alone. I opened the door to see everyone's eyes on me.

"Mei! You're okay!" All the girls ran up to me all excited. 

"Sit down. you shouldn't be up so soon." Kirishima said, pulling out my chair so I could sit.

"How are you feeling?" Shoto asked.

"For once a bit energetic but a bit sore."

"I'm glad you're awake." He gave me a smile which I returned. Through my friends that were around me, I could see Bakugo staring at me. He mouthed 'You okay?' which I returned with a thumbs up. I noticed a sort of relieved expression before Mina blocked my view to go back to her seat. 

"The U.A. sports festival is coming up. We will be preparing for that." My dad said and then went to sit down. 

"Kirishima! Shoto! Train with me!" I yelled at them.

"Hell yeah! I'll beat you for sure, Mei." Kirishima yelled in excitement.

"What about you Shoto? Want to join?" I asked sweetly. 

"Do you like Shoto or something?" Denki nudged me with some winks. I noticed my dad's eyes open to see what was happening which kind of scared me. 

"What no! We're friends right Shoto?" He just nodded in agreement.

"But you call him by his first name." Kirishima pointed out.

"I do that with Denki and Katsuki too!" I defended myself. 

"Wait you call Bakugo by his first name? Since when?" Jirou questioned with a knowing look.

"I don't know." I shrugged it off.

"How has he not killed you if you do that though?" They all wondered.

"Why is it a big deal that she uses my first name?" Katsuki growled. "It's my name isn't it?" That made everyone go back to doing what they were doing before and just talking about the festival. 

Thinking about it though Katsuki was definitely attractive. Nope not thinking about that, dad said no already so why try.
