A Sonadow Christmas

December 1st (Invitations)

POV: Sonic

This year was a long one. All of the constant and excruciating battles with Eggman and running away from Amy really does stuff to you. Still, even though I feel exhausted (even after a full night's sleep), I sit up in my bed.

I look out of my window and look at the brisk, white landscape. A fresh layer of snow. It's really beginning to look like Christmas. I smile as I slowly uncovered myself and get out of bed. I sit on the edge of my bed and but my feet onto the cold floor. I get up and decided to go put on some slippers.

After them on, I sigh in relief as I open my door and make my way downstairs to the kitchen. As I walk down the hallway, I notice that Tails' door is open, which means that he's probably up to. I walk into the kitchen and see the two-tailed fox on his laptop on the kitchen table. He heard me walk into the room and he turned around. "Hey, you're finally up." He said as I rolled my eyes playfully.

"What's up lil' buddy." I chuckled as he shut his laptop down and made his way over to me. He sat in the chair next to me. "So, what's on your agenda today Sonic?" he asked. I rustled his fur with my hand and smiled. "I'm going to give out the invitations for the party." He frowned.

'Sonic, are you sure that you wanna have the party?" he looked at me sincerely. He really didn't want people in their house for a whole week, even though it'll only be his siblings. Everyone else will be staying for one night. "Come on, Tails, you agreed." I said as he looked at me in defeat. "Ugh, Fine."

"Thanks buddy, I'm gonna start now after I get dressed." He nods as I go upstairs. I put on a grey hoddie with a pair of black sweat pants. I quickly head out, waving goodbye to Tails as I dashed out of the door, onto the frozen sidewalk.

I dash as fast as I can until I reach a small house, right between the woods and the city. I go up to the door and knock. Then I just stand back and wait for an answer. Soon after, a green hedgehog opens the door. "Hey bro, haven't seen you in a while." I smiled at Manic, who seemed happy to see me.

"Hey Manic, where's mom and Sonia?" I questioned. He shrugged, "I'm pretty sure that they went out shopping of something. Did you need something?" He asked. I shook my head no. "I just wanted to invite you and Sonia to Christmas party for the week before Christmas. Its only for Christmas eve through Christmas day, but I thought it would be nice to have the extra company. Also, if mom wants, she can come too." I then proceeded to hand him three hand-written invitations. He looks at them and then nods.

"I'm not sure about them, but I'll be there for sure." I smiled. "That's good to hear, thanks bro." I say as I start to walk away.

"See you then!" Manic yells from the doorway before he closes the door. I'm starting to get hungry so I decide to do get some chili dogs. As I run into the city, I pass the G.U.N. HQ. Hmm, I should see if Rouge and Shadow wanna come. I thought about it as I stopped and walked into the door. When I went in, I immediately saw Rouge carrying some boxes of something. "Hey Rouge, got a minute?

"Oh, hey hun. What's up?" she sets the boxes down and flies over to me. She stops and stands next to me. "I just wanted to see if you and possibly even Shadow, to come to my house Christmas eve. I'm having a party/get together."

She stood here for a second and smiled. "Thanks, and I'll be there. And don't worry, I'll bring Shadow. Even if I have to drag him by his ear." I barely made out the last part, I chuckled slightly until I saw Shadow in the distance. He was glaring at me, so I decided to give Rouge the invitations and leave.

Alright, now I'll go visit Knuckles, then that'll be it for today. I quickly stop and get chili dogs. After I tell Knux about the party, he says he will be there, and left (don't ask how he got up to the island, I don't know either).

When I got back home, Tails was fast asleep on the couch. I would expect it; it was already 8 at night. By the time i got home, the street lights were already on and there were a few snowflakes in the air. I sat down on the couch next to Tails, who then woke up.

"Oh hey Sonic, you're finally back." He chuckled. "So, who did you invite already?"

"I invited Sonia and Manic, along with my mom if she wants. I also invited Knuckles, Rouge, and Shadow." Tails looked at me with a really face when I said Shadow's name. "You better not start anything with him Sonic," he shouted, and I knew exactly what he meant.

"I promise I won't, but if he starts something..." I retorted. "what-*yawn*-ever, I'm going to bed. Tails said as he started walking to the stairs. "Okay, goodnight buddy." I say as I hear his door slowly shut. I decide to relax for a bit on the couch and watch TV, but before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
