I sighed as I threw my bathrobe onto my bed. I changed into a comfy outfit. I had recently taken a bath, hoping to calm myself down. I saw someone die. That would scar me forever. Every part of me felt that he was still here, that he was still with all of us, but I knew that he was gone. He had to be gone. I didn't want him to be gone. I didn't want my cousin to be gone. I didn't get to know him. Scott and Stiles acted as everything was okay. Like everything was fine. They didn't care that he died. They didn't care that he died to save me, to protect me from the Alpha. My adoptive parents were coddling me. They were acting like they cared. I knew that they didn't care since I was younger.

When I was younger, they didn't even hesitate to tell me that they weren't my real parents. They didn't even care how I felt. I was 10 for god's sake.

I couldn't tell if they actually cared or not. Were they getting better and not being so obsessed and paying more attention to their work? I was drawn away from my thoughts as my phone rang loudly and I answered it.

'Hey Lin.' Stiles said, slurring his words.

"Are you drunk?" I asked, tone full of disbelief. I never thought that Stiles would ever drink. "You two went out drinking since Allison dumped Scott, didn't you?"

'No, of course not.' Stiles said, he continued to slur his words.

"Really? Because I remember how you constantly yelled at me that you would never drink for any reason, whatsoever." I retorted.

'...' Stiles said, 'We may have-'

"I'm coming to pick you up. Where the hell are you guys?" I demanded.

'Chill mom... I don't drink. It's only whiskey.' Stiles said.

"Where are you?" I demanded. Stiles wouldn't even survive a sip of any alcohol beverage. He literally has no strength.

'We're at the reserve.' Scott said.

"I'm on my way." I declared. I hung up on the phone.

I drove over to the reserve quickly. I made it to the reserve to see Scott going face to face with three older guys. I quickly jumped into the middle, having no idea what was going on.

"Please ignore whatever my friend here has said. He's just drunk and he needs to get home." I said nervously. I didn't want my best friend to get into a fight.

"I'm not drunk yet." Scott snapped.

"Yeah? Well, he is and we should get him home." I said, looking at Stiles.

"I'm not drunk yet." Scott repeated. I looked down at his hands to see that his claws retracted.

"I apologize. Have a good night." I mumbled.

I pulled Scott away from the group of people and put him in the car. I grabbed Stiles, leaning his limp body against myself. I struggled to get him over into the car.

"Thanks Lin." Stiles murmured as I pushed him into the back seat. I had to get the two of them out of here. My two best friends were drunk. Well... maybe Scott wasn't drunk, but still he was acting pretty weird.

I started the car and drove off, leaving the mess and those assholes behind. I dropped off Scott first who acted like a freaking zombie. I got out of the car and pulled Stiles out. He leaned against me snoring as I knocked on the front door of his house. Mr. Stilinski opened it and looked at me surprised.

"Hi." I said. Mr. Stilinski sighed as he set his eyes on his son.

"Thank you Kaitlin." Mr. Stilinski said, "I can take it from here."
