A/N: Hello everyone! This is a love triangle between Fred Weasley and Cedric Diggory. I haven't seen a lot of love triangle type stories where you don't know who the main character is going to end up with, so I thought I would make my own! The plot doesn't follow any of the Harry Potter books.
Just a forewarning that, once the story picks up there WILL be smut. It may take a number of chapter's since this is a slowish burn, so just be patient. I promise it will get heated ;) I'll do a spice warning on chapters that contain it like always!
I hope you enjoy this story!

Vermilion Barrett (more commonly known as Millie) took a deep breath as she stepped into the Great Hall on the first day of her 6th year at Hogwarts. She felt the arm of her boyfriend, Fred Weasley, snake around her waist as he pecked her on the cheek, pulling her with him towards the Gryffindor table for dinner. She sat in between Fred and her best friend, Alicia Spinnet. Alicia and Millie had been inseparable since their very first day at Hogwarts. They bonded over their love for Quidditch and the fact that they lived in the same town without even knowing it.
"Ange," Fred spoke, looking at Angelina Johnson who sat across from Millie and in between George, Fred's twin, and Lee Jordan. "I heard you made team captain. You better not work us as hard as Wood or you've got another thing coming,"
"Oh come on, Freddie," Angelina started. Freddie? Millie thought, Since when is he 'Freddie' to Angelina? "I don't relish in your pain like Wood did, but you know we're gonna need it now that we have to find a new keeper,"
"Oh, that reminds me, Millie," George chimed in from across the table. "Your brother's going for keeper, right? He told me he was thinking about it before you guys left the Burrow this summer,"
"Yes sir," she answered. "Killian's been working his arse off for months,"
"He better watch out. Fred said Ron's going for keeper, too," Alicia giggled.
"Ooo, Harry Potter's best friends competing for his love and affection," Lee teased.
"Ronnie doesn't know what he's getting himself into," George scoffed. "Five sickles says he falls off his broom within the first ten minutes of tryouts,"
"Oh, come on, George," Millie chuckled. "He's not bad! When we played at the burrow this summer he almost saved one of my shots," she eyed him sarcastically.
"In his defense, you are an amazing chaser," Fred said, placing his hand on her thigh a little higher than Millie would expect at dinner, but there were no complaints on her end as she felt fireworks settle in her stomach.
She felt Angelina Johnson's eyes burning into her skin. Angelina had always secretly resented her for two reasons: one, she shared a room with her and Alicia and always felt like the odd one out, and two, she had a huge, fat, massive crush on Fred Weasley.
"McGonagall gave me my hundredth warning when I first walked in," Lee started. "You're on thin ice, Jordan," he mocked. "Minerva, baby, I have been for years,"
The group laughed as they discussed their summers, classes, and loads of other nonsense as they ate their dinner. Millie loved being at Hogwarts with all of her friends, but something felt off this year. Angelina and Fred barely talked to anyone besides each other. It's nothing, Millie, she thought, Let it go. When the feast ended, Dumbledore sent the student body to their dorms and the group of six began to walk to the Gryffindor common room.
Just as they entered through the Portrait, whispering the password 'Balderdash', Millie's brother came up to her.
"Hey, Mills, can we talk for a minute?" he asked, looking down at his sister. Though he was two years younger, he already had at least five inches on her 5'6" stature.
