"This is fascinating! I've never seen the wall do that before and we've been in here for decades!" Wheeljack exclaimed, his eyes sparkle with glee as he swam closer to the smaller pool. He grabbed onto the edge and lifted himself a bit to see the inside of the pool and the wall it came out from.

Jazz let out an impressed whistle as he looked at the pool, then at the scale behind them. "Whoa, what's that contraption?"

Ratchet spoke up after a few minutes of staring at the soap bottle in your hands. "We have no idea what will happen when in contact with that cleansing liquid."

"What?" You gasped. "You guys have never been bathed before? How do you keep clean then?"

Sunstreaker scowled. "We scrub ourselves in the water. Though the grimes and small particles are stuck between our joints and fins since we are unable to properly clean them."

Besides the gold Mer, his twin shrugged. "Sunny isn't very happy about that. The older Mers require a bit more assistance though."

"Who're you callin' old?" Ironhide growled.

"He didn't specifically say that to you." Ratchet deadpanned.

The black Mer scoffed.

. . .

With a hose in your hand that you didn't know why it was even in the room in the first place, you turned on the water and hosed down the scale. You can see the layers upon layers of dust and shit on there.

You decided to do all the examinations before scrubbing down the Mers. As you said before, the faster you do this the faster you can go home.

"Just to be clear. You all know what I'm about to do, right?" You asked.

"Indeed, we do." Ratchet said. "We're not as clueless as you think we are."

Rolling your eyes, you reached into a cabinet to grab a rag and wiped the scale. "I didn't mean it that way, Ratchet."

After you finished cleaning the machine, you skimmed through the papers in your folder and found the one with the Mers from the Autobot's pod names. Thinking about how you are going to do this, you decide to weigh them from the smallest to the largest.

"Alright! Everyone starting from the smallest is getting weighed down first. So Bumblebee, come here you adorable cheese puff." You grabbed Bee from his sides and gently placed him down on the large scale. He booped your nose as you would do to him and giggled. The yellow and black Mer wobbled a bit but sat still.

You stood back up and winced at the slight crack of your spine. Geez, you need to work out more.

Lay off the snacks.

The arrow points to 40 kilograms. A bit underweight for a Mer his age and size. The original notes from last year claimed that he was supposed to be 43 kilograms or more. That won't be a problem. You'll make sure the Mers eat more from now on. Sneak in some toast while you're at it.

You jot down the numbers on your paper and lifted him off and set him in the pool. Then you grabbed Bluestreak and placed him on the scale. He was the same as Bumblebee, a bit underweight.

You had a feeling that they're all probably underweight.

Note: Check with the person in charge of distributing their food later today.

After setting lil Blue down in the pool, you looked back at the rest of the Mers who all easily towered over you with roughly 50 to 70 centimeters. Next on the list is Jazz, you looked at him then back at the scale. How the heck are you supposed to examine him?

"This is bull." You groaned.

Why the frack are these Mers so huge? God, you didn't even want to think about Optimus.

- 1 hour and 15 minutes later -

"And, done!" You shouted after you let your pen flop on the floor and slammed the files onto your desk. You checked their weight, measure their physique, examined their scales, fins, and antennas, got a good look at their fangs, tested their stamina, metal joints, and motor skills.

Your chest heaved from how much air you're currently taking in.

Eleven Mers.

One human.

Less than an hour to do this. You got fifteen minutes to spare and another hour to wash them. You shakily raised a fist in the air and waved it aggressively in success.

"I did it you butthead! The best Mer doctor in the universe! Now lemme breathe for a second."

"Aren't you the only Mer specialist?" Smokescreen questioned.

You shot finger guns in his direction and wheezed pathetically.
