Wednesday

Keefe's POV

After Fitz walks away I sit there in a daze.

"Keefe? Did I do something wrong?" Aella asks tears filling her green eyes.

"No. You didn't."

"What happened then?"

I blow out a breath, "Well, Fitz wanted my help because he wanted to ask you out. I said no he said why. Went on a couple more times like that. Then you came."

She doesn't say anything, she just sits there and thinks.

"What is Fitz's last name?"

"Uhhh. Vacker. Why?"

Her eyes lit up for a second, "No reason."

For the rest of lunch we ate in silence. 

Why did she light up when I told her Fitz's last name?

Why did she even ask?

I don't voice my questions.

(Time skip)

I wait outside of the school. Aella still hasn't come out.

Why?

Where r u?

She doesn't respond. I give up on waiting. I walk to my car and jump in. When I get home I see a new text message from an unknown number.

Watch your girlfriend

Who would send something like that?

Aella's POV

FITZ IS A VACKER!!!

If I can get into contact with him he can help me find Officer Vacker. Or even better my parents. All these years I've been hiding something. My parents used to train me to fight. They gave me a weapon. Only to use in emergencies. But knowledge is even more powerful.

Anyway.

After Keefe told me at lunch I headed off to my class. It's with Fitz.

I see him sitting at his desk, bored.

I walk up to him.

"Hey!"

He looks over at me and raises and eyebrow. "Hey?"

"I need your help."

His face lights up. "Of course! What do you need?"

I take a deep breath. "I can't say here. Can we meet up after school?"

"Sure!"

"Great thanks." I leave it at that and I walk away.

(Time skip)

I wait for Fitz at his locker. When he comes up he nods at me.

"Let's go out the back so Keefe won't see." He says.

I nod. 

We exit the school and head to his car. 

"Where we going?" He asks.

"I don't know. Just somewhere private."

He drives me to a park. We exit the car and walk a bit. We reach a beautiful pond. Lilly pads sprinkle the water. Weeping willow trees provide shade. Bright green grass with little wild flowers dotted everywhere.

"Wow." I say my mouth agape.

"Yeah. I found this place a year ago." He pauses, "So what did you need?"

I hesitate. No going back now.

"Do you have a family member in the police?"

He thinks for a bit, "Yes. I do."

He looks at me questionably.

I take a deep breath, "Do you know about that case she had about the Drayups?"

"Oh yeah. I remember that. It was hard for her to do that one."

I nod my head, "Good, can you get me in contact with them."

"The Drayups? I don't think I can. I don't even know where they are."

"Well then. Find out." I walk away without waiting for his response.

Everything is going as planned Mom and Dad.
