Chapter 17: Meeting Brent Rivera!!

Abbie's P.O.V.

We were all currently waiting at the airport for our flight to Florida to be called. The airport was filled with screaming children, stressed out parents, and hurried business men. I was just standing there watching the rush of the people when I felt a tug on my hand. I look down and see a little girl who was maybe 5 or 6.

"Excuse me, can you help me find my mommy?" the little girl asked.

I knelt down to her level and she jumped in my arms. I stood back up and said, "Of course I will you find your mommy. What's your name sweetie?"

"My name's Kate and I'm this many!" she said while holding up five fingers.

"Well Kate, I'm Abbie. Let's walk around and you tell me if you see your mommy okay?" I said. She nodded her head and we started walking around.

"Abbie, where are you going?" I heard Shawn say as he came up beside me.

"Oh my gosh! Your Shawn Mendes!" Kate squealed.

"Yes I am and who might you be?" Shawn asked, smiling at Kate.

"Shawn, this is Kate and I'm trying to help her find her mommy," I said.

Shawn was about to say something but was interrupted. "Kate! There you are!" A woman said, running up to us.

"Mommy!" Kate yelled. Kate's mom took Kate out of my arms and started hugging and checking Kate to see if she was alright.

"Thank you so much! I hope she didn't cause too much trouble," Kate's mother said.

"Oh she didn't cause any trouble at all, but what I would like to know is out of all the people here why did you choose me to ask for help Kate?" I asked.

"Because you were on the T.V.!" Kate exclaimed.

I guess her mother could see the confusion written on my face because she spoke up and said, "Kate was watching T.V. with me and on the news they were discussing how you were kidnapped and rescued and they also showed your picture."

I didn't know that my kidnapping story was on the news! That means everyone knows about what happened to me. This can't be good.

"Well we must get going now," Shawn said.

"Okay well thank you again!" Kate's mom said before walking off with Kate.

"Are you okay?" Shawn asked staring straight into my eyes.

"Of course," I say smiling at him. He smiles back and takes the opportunity to kiss me real quick.

"Flight 361 to Florida is now boarding," the man on the intercom says. We grab all of our stuff and board the plane.

Even though it was difficult getting to the hotel from the airport with fans chasing us we finally made. I was so excited to meet Brent that I carelessly through all my stuff on the floor and took off down the hall to Matt and Hayes's room. I guess I was so occupied with my thoughts about Brent that I didn't realize that someone had bumped into me until I was laying on the floor.

"Hey watch where you're going will-Brent??" I said.

He looked down at me with that beautiful face of his and lightly laughed. He held his hand out and I graciously took it and he helped me up. "Sorry about that Abbie," he said with that angelic voice of his.

"You know who I am?" I squeaked, shocked that he knew my name.

"Well yeah Shawn and Gilinsky don't shut up about you, plus you were kind of all over the news and stuff awhile ago," he said while scratching the back of his neck. So he knew also. Wait? What does he mean Gilinsky keeps talking about me? I am going to have to ask him about that.

"Oh right," I said. He smiled at me and I smiled back. "So where are you going? The guys said we were all meeting in Matt and Hayes's room."

"Yeah the guys just texted me saying to meet all of them downstairs in the buffet. Did they not text you?" Brent asked.

I looked at him confused and then realized that I haven't checked my phone since we got here. I took it out of my pocket and sure enough I had a text from the guys saying to meet them at the buffet. "Oh yeah they did. I guess since I was so busy freaking out about meeting you that I-" I quickly shut my mouth when I realized what I just said. Ugh why do I have to be so stupid!

"Haha so what the guys say is true, you are a big fan of me!" He says with a big smile on his face.

"They said what? Ugh I am going to kill them!" I exclaimed.

"Okay well let's go then!" Brent said.

We walked to the elevator and got in. Once inside we pushed the lobby button and once the elevator started moving Brent pushed the red button and the elevator stopped. "Why did you do that for?" I asked.

"I wanna mess with the guys. Follow my lead okay?" I nodded my head and Brent pulled his phone out and FaceTimed Shawn.

"Brent! Where are you? I thought you were heading this way?" I heard Shawn say.

"Dude are the other guys around?" Brent asked pretending to be scared.

"Guys come here," Shawn said.

"Brent! Where are you?" I think Taylor said.

"Yeah dude we have been waiting forever!" Carter said.

"Hurry up would yeah?" Johnson said.

"I would but guys you have to help me!" Brent said, terrified.

"What's wrong man?" Hayes said.

"I'm on the elevator and it stopped and there is a crazy fan on here with me!" That's my cue.

"OMG!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE I AM STUCK ON AN ELEVATOR WITH THE BRENT RIVERA!! AAAAA!!! THIS IS LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE!!" I yell and acted all fan girlish.

"Wait that sounded like Abbie?" Shawn said. Brent and I started dying of laughter and I stood next to Brent so I can see everyone too.

"Hey guys!" I said.

"Hey babe! When are you guys going to be here?" Shawn said.

"In just a few minutes," by that time Brent had already started the elevator back up and we walked out.

"Okay see ya!!" Shawn said and hung up.

Brent and I walked a little bit more before turning a corner and walking down another hallway. I took this as the perfect opportunity to ask him about Gilinsky. "When you said you knew who I was you also said that Gilinsky doesn't shut up about me. What did you mean by that?" I asked.

"It was nothing bad if that's what you're thinking. It was all good things, like how sweet you were or how pretty you looked and things like that. Honestly I think he might have a crush on you," He said right when we walked in to the dining hall. I stopped dead in my tracks. Could Gilinsky actually have a crush on me? I am going to have to find this out and there is only one person to ask. Johnson.

Guys!!! I am soooo sorry I haven't updated in a while. I have been so busy with school and I also sort of broke my laptop but I fixed it!! I will be updating more just not as frequently as I use to. One more things before I go guys. THIS BOOK HAS OVER 1K READS!!! OMG THIS IS SOO CRAZY!! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!! I was thinking about since I have hit 1K reads I will start dedicating each chapter to the first person who comments.
