Miles's POV:
I walked to the other side of the car door and opened it to let Gwen out, playfully bowing like a servant. "After you milady,"
"Why thank you," She said in a playful tone as she stepped out. Gwen had changed into a grey crop top that ended at her mid-abdomen and ripped jeans, having a jacket tied around her waist.
"Ready to go in?" I say as we both walk towards the entrance of the big grey house that stood blasting muffled music.
"You say that like we're about to walk into a mafia party," She joked. "Yup, totally," I opened the door and she walked in, me following in after her. It was wild in there.
People were drinking out of red cups and dancing like crazy while a dark skinned girl with a similar haircut to Gwen was playing the electric guitar and hyping everyone up. There were different colored lights shining everywhere in the room.
"This is nuts!" Gwen said as she looked around.
"Gwen! You made it! And you brought your boyfriend, I see," A red headed girl walked over to me and Gwen, looking at her and then at me while sipping something in a red cup.
Gwen awkwardly laughed. "Yup. Miles, meet Mary Jane/Em Jay, Em Jay, Miles."
I wave. "Nice to meet you,"
She smiled and then leaned over to Gwen whispering something and she whacked Em Jay on the arm. "He's mine, back off,"
Em Jay smirked. "Mhm, well I see why you've been missing band meets as well. You just had to tell me you were banging him,"
I turned a deep red and Gwen smacked her again, making Em Jay laugh. "Have fun and enjoy yourselves, lovebirds! I'm gonna go dance," She said as she walked away, joining the energy filled crowd.
Gwen turned back to me with a light pink dusted across her cheeks. "I am so sorry about her, she's really weird when I'm with a guy and I'm almost never with a guy,"
I laugh. "Don't worry about it Gwen, it's fine,"
Gwen smiles and looks over at a table that had food on it and her face lit up. "Oooo they have Ruffles! Be right back!" She said rushing off immediately.
She's so cute, I thought, staring after her as she jogged towards the table.
Then, suddenly a voice broke my trance.
"Well, I didn't know that one of the people I served would be here," I heard a familiar voice and blinked, seeing Brooklyn, the girl I had seen before at that pizza place that had been our server.
"Oh hey there," I slightly wave.
"Hey," She said, sipping the liquid in her cup while looking at me. "Curious question, what brings you here to this party?"
"My girlfriend's band was throwing a party so I'm her date here," I said, the word girlfriend sounding fuzzy on the tip of my tongue.
Brooklyn's face kind of shifted uncomfortably as she nodded. "Understood, I guessed you were dating her. People don't usually make goo goo eyes at each other while eating pizza."
I snorted in amusement. "We were not making goo goo eyes,"
"You were totally staring off into space looking at her walk away just now and didn't notice me until I said anything. Totally goo goo eyes," She smirked.
I hold up a finger trying to think of something to day and laugh, not coming up with anything. "You can read people well, huh?"
"Yup. I can tell you like this song that's playing because you are tapping your heels to the beat,"
