I'm not interested in your brother

Based on something I read on Tumblr.

"Well, at least you're far away from my brother." Virgil paced in front him, away from the door.
I stepped back at the force of the expression on Virgil's face, only to hit the wall. Cleaning closets, unfortunately, were not known for their space. There was only a few steps between us and nowhere to go.
"Your brother," he repeated. There was something in his voice.
I squared my shoulders, despite the whole nowhere to run problem, and forced myself to straighten up.
"You think I haven't noticed how you feel about him?" I demanded. "All those coincidental ways that you meet, when he's trying to stop you, making him run around after you...desperate for his attention. You should cut it out!"
"You think I'm interested in your brother," he repeated. He abandoned the door, and trying to get it open, in order to take a step towards me. Then another.
I swallowed, perhaps I should grab a broom for protection? Though I really couldn't imagine a broom doing anything against him; tall, strong and generally deadly as he was. And beautiful-But that's not the point.
"Y-Yes?"
He didn't break eye contact, he placed one hand beside the my head, then the other, leaning down until our faces were inches apart. Having him so close was dizzying. I was slowly starting to regret starting this conversation. I shouldn't regret starting the conversation, my brother wasn't interested. It had to stop. I just really wished that me, myself were also not interested. It ached, watching my brother and Virgil together. The electricity between them flew. He could look at his brother, brave that he was, like he could conquer worlds. Nobody had ever looked at me like that.
"You think I took you to get your brother's attention," he said. Oh so slowly.
"Yes! You're not normally this dumb! That's what I said."
"Oh, dumb am I?" Virgil was smiling. Why was he smiling?
I flattened myself further against the wall and cleared my throat. "Have you had any luck with the door?"
"I'm not interested in your brother."
"Well, he's definitely not interested in you so-"  Virgil interrupted me by kissing me.
My words turned into an embarrassed moan. My fingers curled instinctively into Virgil's t-shirt, torn between dragging him closer and shoving him back. I should drag him back. But I dragged him closer, foolishly, before my brain had fully caught up. Then when my brain caught up and I jerked back so hard that I smacked my head against the wall. A bucket clattered off a shelf.
I met Virgil's eyes, breathing hard.
"I'm not interested in your brother," he said again. "You really thought I was interested in him?"
"Oi, you don't get to sound so offended. He's great, he's-"
He kissed me again.
My knees turned weak. I may have slumped to the floor in a puddle of jelly if Virgil's hands didn't land hot upon my waist, holding me up. He bit at my lip and some embarrassingly wanting sound left my mouth.
His lips moved to my ear, teeth grazing the delicate shell. "I'm going to have to kiss you every time you start getting all protective, It's far too good a look on you. You're like a kitten hissing at a wolf. Brave, adorable, and thoroughly doomed."
"I could totally take you." I absolutely could not take him.
"Oh yes? How would you like to take me?" Virgil's voice had turned into purring, honeyed.
I felt heat flooded across face. "Wait, that's not what I meant! I meant-"
He nipped at my ear, moving down to kiss my neck.
I quickly forgot what I meant. Virgil prompted me with an amused little hum of question.
"This isn't fair." I said breathlessly. How had he got there? How did he make sure that the virgil never stopped? "You can't just- just kiss me–"
"I said I was interested in you. I never said I was interested in being fair to you. Do you want me to stop?"
"You never actually said you were interested in me," I muttered.
He huffed. "I'm interested in you. Very interested, I thought it was obvious. It was plenty obvious to your brother."
"It was?"
"Now why do you think he tried so hard to keep you away from me?"
"Oh."
"I haven't had much luck with the door," he said. "We may be in here a while until the next cleaning crew comes along."
"Ohhh."
"And, unless you have any objections." He shifted his grip of my hands, pulling them up over my head and against the wall where they weren't in the way. "I think I have some ideas on how to pass the time."
"...you planned this, didn't you?"
"Any objections?" I shook my head.
"Words, please."
"Nope. No objections, your honour." God why did I say 'your honour?' I probably sounded like a complete, flustered, fool, he–Virgil leaned in to kiss me again.
The time passed only too quickly.

Thanks for reading.
