Idea 17: Flash's Story

Flash after having his feelings being rebuilt and recovering from his craziness. Pinkie was there, and she helped him to realize that the world was bigger than what they knew of, and it will need all of them to help in this matter. Flash toughed up and became a helper with it, and being Pinkie's boyfriend. Known as "SenPie"

How it happened:

Pinkie's confession to Flash Sentry after two dates. Pinkie felt that Flash doesn't have a clue of what he is and what he needs. She doesn't want him to be simple. Flash's grades dropped, doesn't know if he wants to go to college, doesn't work, and he no longer with his own band

anymore. He went downhill after trying to confess to Twilight, and begged for Sunset. He ruined his reputation, no longer being a gentleman to a person lost within.

No, you wouldn't be able to handle a woman like me.

I don't care. What do I have to do to prove to you that I'm worth being around?

You already proved that you have commitment issues, you're too much of a child, there's very little of what you take seriously. You're just... look, i don't mean to be rude... but I'm not willing to teach you what you should already know... I want a person who has reached maturity, no messing around or wanting to play games. I want someone who is able to take care of everything we both need to live. You... I just don't see it. You're a good person, you just have too much to work on that I just don't have time for. I'm already too old to go through the emotional, teenage dream.

I see...

You're not a bad person, and I do care for you... but there's nothing I've seen that deems you worthy to be in a sustainable relationship. The fact that you don't smoke, drink, or have too many friends to mess around with, is a start, but no job, no sense of what's happening in your life... I can't be spontaneous like I used to be. Now that things have been happening.

What about love? Happiness? Don't any of those things matter between you and I?

Sometimes, those aren't what keep a relationship going. You aren't even the leader of your own life, how can you be the one to stand up for me, and take care of me when I need you to be? I'm sorry, but I can't mess around. I could have almost ruined myself, you as well if things continued the way they did. Hopefully you could grow and reflect about this. But, I can't wait any longer for you to change, and be who I need you to be. As much I would like to be with you too, it just won't work.

What did Flash do to earn Pinkie's hand?

He worked on getting his grades up. He made amends to his friends, colleagues, and past flames. He applied to work. Starting after senior year, I planned to go into business school.

In the end, Pinkie only said those things to make him become who he needed to be, because she sensed in him, by the Lord, that he would be the man she needs. His confidence restored,

ask Pinkie out again, this time with a good head on his shoulders.

Why?

Flash explores what his core beliefs are. As Pinkie dumped him, for not having a code or a standard he believes in, or stands by to be a man. Every man should have a code, if they don't have one they are lost and will always continue to be a pawn in everyone's game.

He asked each of the Rainbooms, but Pinkie pointed out that men should have that core.

So, Flash interviewed the men in their lives to see why the Rainbooms have replaced men in their lives.

He interviewed:

• Big Mac

Family, faith, God, and honest work.

• Pinkie's parents

Trust, hardships, unpleasantries, and faith.

• Rarity's parents

Traditions, presentation, lineage, and cooperation. (Given they were in an arranged marriage.)

• Timber Spruce

Family, honest work, people's well-being, and support.

• Bulk Biceps

Protection, kindness, support, and cuteness.

• Mr. Cake

People, care, hospitality, support, loyalty, and love.

After much talk and hard work along with their interview on what their standards are, Flash was still unsure of himself of who he really is. But, their views and their experiences became something he thought would help in finding that out.

He first wanted to make peace with everyone he was involved with.

• Sunset Shimmer

The truth.

• Twilight Sparkle

Forgiveness.

• Princess Twilight Sparkle (with Sunset's help)

Letting go.

• A girl he dated before Sunset

Forgiveness.

• And Pinkie Pie

Respect.

Afterward, he thought of forgiveness and gaining some closure on being clear of what he wanted at the time, but now changed.

He still loved singing as a passion, but he started working with Mr and Mrs Cake at the Sweet Snacks Cafe. Pinkie was annoyed he was there, bur Flash only wanted to remain professional. Which made Pinkie upset about it, but was starting to be intrigued with his confidence.

Finally he admitted that he couldn't stay away from her because he wanted her to have a reason to be a man. He is lost with nothing else in his life. He loves music, but he understands it's not enough to live. And working just to have experience and have something to fall back on after risks he may take, but he just wanted someone to give him reason to be, and the only way he could was her. He knows they will fight, and hurt each other, but he will never turn away from her, he will love her through the end of time, and will do what she wants, just as long as she gives him what he needs.

Pinkie saw him change from a person who was lost in unrequited love, to being a simple, and now to someone who will change for the better.

Flash's Core:

Pinkie's Core:

• Laughter, love, support, friendship, passion, and faith.

Together:

• Respect, faith, support-cooperation, creativity, and love.

All this before OLM.

Because during OLM is when Pinkie came out about her relationship with Flash Sentry that shocked the world.
