"Honey would you stop worrying everything is situated we have everyone's gifts and the pups will be fine for one night."

"Are you sure? What if they run out of food before we get back?"

"Leah it's not like we're gonna be gone for a week, we'll be back tomorrow morning they'll be just fine. Now we gotta get going before we're late."

It was currently 9am in the morning. We were going to my moms house for Christmas to open gifts. Aleah's mom went with her grams back home so she decided to spend Christmas with my family.

We pulled up to my childhood home. I still can't believe my parents live here. It looks exactly the same.

Claudia was the first to come running out of the house, screaming.

"ALEAH! My girl! Oh my gosh I missed you! And you too Bils hi how are you guys?" She greeted us both with a tight hug.

"We're good Claudia it's nice to see you," I greeted back. "Go ahead and go inside baby imma get the bags."

Claudia dragged her inside as she tried to keep up.

(Aleah's POV)
"Claudia, I love you but you're gonna break my arm if you keep yanking on it."

"Oh sorry, my bad I'm just excited." She let go of my arm that she was grasping onto so tightly.

I greeted everyone else as Billie brought the bags in, taking them to her old room. I hadn't been there in years so I followed after her.

"It looks exactly the same.." I spoke startling her.

"Oh my god! You gotta quit doing that baby." she giggled.

"Sorry love." I walked into the room, remembering the last time I was here. She was 19 turning 20 and moving out.

She kept her bed and most of her furniture here though. Knowing she would come back and visit often.

I found myself smiling at all the memories of us here. But there was a specific one that will always be with me.

Flashback 6 years ago
We were sitting on Billie's bed, my head in her lap as we both scrolled through Instagram.

"Hey baby, can I tell you something?" She asked. I could tell she was nervous so I gave her my full attention.

"What is it. Are you alright?"

"Yeah yeah I'm okay I just really need to tell you this," she took a deep breath, fiddling with the rings on her fingers. "Leah I...I think I love you. I know we've only been dating for a short time and we've only known each other for like a year or whatever I don't know I'm not good with time but I had to tell you. It's okay if you don't say it back I just wanted to tell you cause I think I really seriously love you."

I sat on her bed facing her, I said nothing as I just looked at her in shock.

"Say something, please."

"I love you too, Billie." All of her worry fell from her face as she lunged into my arms.

"Oh my god! Dude I was so worried you weren't gonna say it back!" She pulled back to cup my face. "I love you, Aleah Edwards." she told me.

I blushed and smiled, "I love you too Billie O'Connell."

"Hey, you alright?" Billie lightly shook me as I snapped out of my trance.

"Yeah just thinking about our first 'I love you's' we had here." I smiled at the thought.

Billie blushed at the memory, "Oh my god don't remind me I was so nervous," she laughed.
