Chapter 5

P.O.V/ Dani Patterson:

It's been three weeks since Carly found out the truth why she has demonic powers Kim couldn't get pregnant with her so they needed a surrogate mom but that woman was magically disguised as Kevyn's mom, Kelly which is really fucked up so that's how Carly got demonic powers cause she is half-demon because of Kelly giving birth to her. after all of that was let out Carly took off; me and the others have been searching for her non-stop but she doesn't want to be found I have done nothing but cried and worried myself sick about her I can't stand the thought of her being away from me she was so scared of herself; she didn't want to hurt anyone especially me I think I know a way to get rid of the demon half of her either we use a potion or get Alex to perform a demonic exorcism. Performing one is gonna be very difficult because Carly would have to be still for it to work and getting her still is gonna be a huge task for one Jenny would have to try to freeze her but she wouldn't stay frozen because she will most likely be able to adjust through the freezes like Nicole did.
Tomorrow is May 31st it is the day that Nicole, Riley, Lakein, Sam and Valerie graduate they are all going to Finway College where Jane and Jesse both went and where Avery will be a senior at; Nicole is studying to be a police officer, Riley and Lakein are studying to be teachers, Sam is gonna follow in Jesse's footsteps and study to be a nurse meanwhile Valerie is taking a similar route like Nicole; a private investigator she would need a degree in criminal justice and a bachelor's degree which takes about four years; Nicole also needs a criminal justice degree but becoming a cop takes longer she needs to go through training at a police academy which will be a piece of cake for Nicole because she is in excellent shape plus being a vampire makes her extremely fast and out of this world strong I don't see her having trouble with that part; the training takes about six months afterwards it could take a year or two to officially be a cop so she has a lot of work ahead of her. I walk out the front door of my house alone I really wish Carly was here I miss her so much I walk out to my car I push the unlock button on the key remote it chirps I open the door getting inside, I pull the door closing it, I turned around putting my backpack in the backseat in the middle.
I turn back around and put the key in the ignition as I go to turn it I see flames start appearing out of the corner of my eye in the passenger seat beside me I turn my head quickly and there sat Carly staring me down evilly with an ominous grin on her face she isn't herself right now her demonic side has over taken her. I said her name as my throat tightens in fear " Carly.." She smiles wickedly then said " Hello beautiful. happy to see me?" I said " I liked you better before you turned into an evil bitch. now get the hell out of my car I'm gonna be late for school". Carly pulls the keys out of the ignition She said " You're not going to school today". we hear a door shut I look over to see my dad walking off the porch he is walking towards his car he sees my car still there I hear him say my name " Dani??" Carly puts her hand on my shoulder and teleports us outside the car standing right in front of my dad. he sees the look on Carly's face he immediately knows something is very wrong I feel a knife being pressed against my throat My dad said " Carly please put that knife away and let Dani go". She said " I can't do that Jacob she's coming with me and you will never see her again don't do anything stupid or I will kill her". I see the fear in his eyes as he watches the knife on my throat.
I said " She's not gonna kill me Dad.. she doesn't have the guts to". she makes me turn around I look down at her a little her eyes are demonic red she puts the tip of the knife to my throat Carly said " Shut the hell up! before I cut you from ear to ear right here in front of him". she makes me turn back around facing him she holds the knife up to my neck again. She said " Bye bye thank you for your beautiful daughter I'm gonna take good care of her ain't that right Mrs. Stevens?" she laughs wickedly as the flames swirl on us we disappear leaving my dad a worried mess. Jacob's P.O.V/ I run my fingers through my hair in distress I need to call Jesse and Jane I run over to my car and get inside I start the car up and I peel out of the driveway in hurry I pull out my phone dialing Jane's number I hope she is off work today it rings a few times until she picks it up " Hello?" I said " Jane!? I need your help Carly has kidnapped Dani she had a knife to her throat I have no clue where she took her but if we don't find her in time I think Carly is gonna kill her". Jane said over the phone " Okay drive to mine and Jesse's house we will get a hold of Nicole and the others so they can all help us". I said " Okay be there in few". I hung the phone up and drove the next four minutes there.
I pulled into the driveway I had to slow down while I was driving so I wouldn't get pulled over for speeding I quickly get out of the car closing the door behind me I run up on the porch right as I get up to the door it opens revealing Jesse. I walk in and she shuts the door behind her Jane is on the phone talking to someone she hands the phone up She said " Okay Alex and Nicole are on the way here the others are in school". right after she said that white lights started swirling in the living room beside Jane they both appeared from the lights. Alex said " We're to help Jacob don't worry we will find Dani". I said " Please Carly is out of her mind right now Dani is all I have left of Shana I can't lose my one and only daughter". Nicole said " I promise she will be fine but I can't say the same for Carly". I said " What do you mean? are you guys gonna kill her?" Alex said " If nobody can stop her then I'm afraid so Carly is very powerful almost as powerful as Kevyn but we are gonna perform a demonic exorcism on her and that should pull out the demon side of her and she will be normal again". Nicole said " But you need to be as far away from us as possible because Carly will attack you to hurt Dani we don't need to risk her losing you too". I said " Okay I'll go to work but please keep me updated".
Alex's P.O.V/ After Jacob left the house I closed my eyes and started trying to sense Dani's location after a few minutes I finally found it I opened my eyes then said " I found them they are at the ridge". Jane said " The highest point in the city better known as " Lovers Ridge". Nicole said " That was too quick almost as if she wants us to find her". Jesse said " It's trap most likely she's waiting to pick us off one by one". I said " We have to save them besides there are four of us and one of her I'd say Kevyn is gonna sit back and watch like she always does". I held onto Nicole's hand while she held her Mom's, and Jane held onto Jesse's while I teleported us all to the ridge I teleported on the right side where the parking is. there is a huge chain link fence at the top of the ridge there is barbed wire at the top of the fence to keep people from jumping over it Jesse said a year before she had Riley and Sam; a fourteen year old girl that was in her grade jumped off the ridge killing herself. we all walked around to the middle where you can look out over the ridge down at the city below the first thing we see is Dani tied to that chain linked fence with some barbed wire wrapped around her neck like a hangman's noose.
She is unconscious we all run over to her Nicole puts her hand on Dani's face She said " Dani wake up.." Jesse and Jane shake her shoulders as Nicole says her name repeatedly she finally comes to raising her head up she opens her eyes slowly I said " Where is Carly?" a voice from behind us says " Right here bitches". we all look back there stood Carly staring us down evilly She sees Jesse and Jane then she laughs wickedly. I said " What's so funny?" Carly said " Where are the others?? the young ones? did you have to bring Dorothy and Blanche?" she busted out laughing hysterically Jesse and Jane rolled their eyes Jane said with sarcasm " Haha very funny I may be old but don't think I can't take you". Carly said " Bring it on wrinkles". I said " Enough bullshit Carly now let Dani down right now". She glares at us then She said " Nah I don't think so". she snaps her fingers and the barbed wire noose around Dani's neck starts tightening around her neck slowly. Nicole throws her hand up and shoots an energy blast at Carly it hits her in the chest and she flies backwards her back slides across the dirt and she stops laying there on her back but the barbed wire noose is still tightening around Dani's neck she exclaims in fear as the sharp points are getting closer to her throat.
I go to use my power called Cyrokinesis to freeze it so Jesse and Jane can break it off right when I went to use my power Carly throws an energy ball at me it clips me in the shoulder from behind and I hit the ground on my stomach she had pretended to be knocked after Nicole shot her with that energy blast so Nicole runs at her using her superhuman agility; Nicole jumps in the air with her shoulders pointed at Carly's stomach and she tackles her to the ground where they start fist fighting. Jesse and Jane are frantically using their powers on the barbed wire noose around Dani's neck to try and free her but it's not working I stumbled up quickly and throw my hand up a blast of pure ice comes out of my hand and hits the noose freezing it completely Jesse and Jane grab each side of it and jerk it off her neck it busted into pieces of ice they start untying the ropes that have Dani against the fence. she has one arm around Jane's neck and her other arm around Jesse's neck they lower her down from the fence I see a laceration on her throat from the barbed wire it is oozing blood I hold my hand up and the deep cut starts to slowly close up into a small scar the blood disappeared we hear Nicole and Carly struggling on the ground.
Carly is on her back on the ground Nicole is straddling her trying to hold her arms down on the ground but she brings her foot up and kicks Nicole dead in the middle of the back she yells out in pain when she loses her grip on Carly she swings her fist punching Nicole right in the jaw blood flies out the side of her mouth and she falls off her landing right beside her. Carly gets up on her feet and stomps on Nicole's chest she yelps in pain as she loses her breath Jesse and Jane quickly run over and Jesse grabs Carly from behind putting her in a head lock from behind it's were you bring your arms under the armpits and put your hands on the middle of their neck by doing this you are trapping their arms up over their head so she's stuck and pissed. Carly growls in frustration and jumps up kicking her feet at Jane but she dodges the kick Jesse is struggling to keep her in the hold as Carly's feet thrash and kick the dirt below Jesse puts pressure on her neck to try and make her stop fighting. Jesse said " Stop fighting or the hold can break your neck!" Carly said " When I get free I'm breaking your neck you old bitch!!"
I hold out my hand as I cast a spell in my head to release the evil within her it's a secret spell so I'm not allowed to say it out loud a huge ball of white lights appear in my hand I said " Okay release her Jesse!" she lets go of her quickly as she backs away Carly ducks down and just kicks Jesse in the side of her knee she yells out in agony as the bone snaps she hits the ground on her side holding her knee she just broke Jesse's leg I shoot the ball of white lights out of my hand at her it turns into a huge beam of white lights and it goes straight through Carly's chest. she yells out in pain as the beam pierces through her all the sudden flames start appearing on her body like she is dying then she explodes into flames a big blast sends me, Jane and Nicole flying backwards as Jesse takes cover on the ground holding her hands over her face we stumbled except for Jesse who obviously can't walk due to her broken leg I see white smoke swirling where Carly was standing the smoke fades away there she layed on her back we are so shocked that should have killed her we are looking down at her when all the sudden her eyes open wide they are demonic red then the red disappears her hazel green eyes appear through the red.
the demonic exorcism worked she isn't evil anymore we help her up and She looks at all of us with guilt I walk over to Jesse and she watches me as I heal her leg so she can walk again after I was done Jane pulls Jesse up. Carly said with tears streaming down her face " I'm so sorry I hurt you Jesse.." she stops talking and looks at Dani who is being quiet She said to Dani " I understand if you don't want to see me anymore I nearly killed you and them". Dani said " Stop save your apologies". Carly is bracing herself cause she feels like Dani doesn't want to be with her anymore. Dani pulls her into a hug and said " I know that wasn't really you I'm not mad at you baby.. I love you so much and I still want to be with you". they kissed softly then Nicole looks at the time on her phone She said " I hate to cut this short but it's 4:00pm I have to be at the arena for graduation in ten minutes". I smiled softly and said " Well let's get there the easy way". we all held hands and I teleported us to the arena that is half way across town I teleported in the back where nobody can see I cast my identity spell to hide my real face and we all walk in the back doors of the arena.
About almost five I'm sitting up in the audience with Jane , Jesse, Dani, Carly, Jenny and Cheyenne the announcer has called out several names She said " Taylor Henderson". Nicole comes out from the side of the curtain in a blue cap and gown we all cheer her on as the women hands her a high school diploma she waves at us and walks down the steps and sits down with her class. the woman said " Riley Roberts". we all cheer for her as she walks up to the woman she hands her the diploma and Riley walks down the steps and sits in the chair beside Nicole; the woman said " Samantha Roberts". she walks out and we cheer for her as the woman gives her diploma she walks down and sits down beside Riley, the woman said " Lakein Melton". she walks out to the woman and gets her diploma she makes her way down the stairs and sits down beside Sam then the woman calls out the final name " Valerie Graves". she walks out and gets hers and she makes her way down and sits down beside Lakein. the woman said " And there you have it Finway's class of 2013!" everyone cheers in the arena and the 2013 class throws theirs caps in the air I smile as I see Nicole smiling with her classmates she looks up at me and winks she can now go by her married name Mrs. Nicole Porter.
