Chapter 18

P.O.V/ Riley Roberts:

Today is mine and Sam's twentieth birthday seems like yesterday I was fifteen and head over heels in love with Nicole I thought we were gonna be together for a long time I thought she was the one but I was wrong. that is all in the past now I've loved and I've lost but I don't regret any of it I enjoyed the time I spent with Nicole and with Lakein I really wish she could have stayed but if she would have then Dani and I wouldn't have gotten together I can't get over how great Dani is she's amazing I never knew how good of a girlfriend she could be Carly was a lucky girl I'm not saying Lakein wasn't great because she was in her own way like Nicole was. so much has happened in the past five years some great things have happened like Alex and Nicole getting married and I was very happy for them, then my mom married Jane the love of her life, Jenny and Cheyenne are engaged now, Eric has a daughter named Willow but equally bad things have happened Brandon killed Jane but thank god Nicole turned her into a vampire before it was too late, then the grim reaper comes after my mom and she died but Jane turned her into a vampire just in time, Kelly murdered Kim sending Carly off the deep end which resulted in hers and Lakein's death.
My mom is having a small party for me and Sam like she has always done we had just got done opening a few presents each until Dani pulls out this small red box it almost looks like a one for a ring. she sees me looking at her She said " It's not a ring I promise". I said " I wouldn't mind if it was". oh my god did I just say that out loud? Dani smiles at me god she has a beautiful smile. she hands me the box and I open it revealing a beautiful silver chain that says Riley in cursive I'm stunned at how pretty it is. I said " Dani it's so beautiful". she pulls it out of the box undoing the clasp I turn around and hold my hair up off my neck and she puts it on me I turn back around facing her I pull her into a hug we look at each other after the hug and both go in for a kiss it was so sweet and soft I feel her smile into the kiss. I said " Thank you so much I really love it". Dani said " You're welcome". we look over at Valerie and Sam she hands Sam a similar box she smiles at her then opens it and pulls out a thin gold chain that says Sam. Valerie opens the clasp and puts it around Sam's neck as she holds her hair up She said " Thank you baby it's beautiful". Valerie said " You're welcome Dani helped me pick it for you". Sam said to Dani " Thank you".
After opening presents we are all just hanging out and talking in the kitchen the sound of glass breaking rings in our ears my mom looks back in the living room and see a baseball sized hole in the window there is glass all over the couch and the glass table. she walks in the living room as she is looking for what broke the window she sees something in the floor under the table she bends down and picks it up a medium sized rock that fits perfectly in her hand. she walks over to the couch and looks out the window but nobody is there she walks back into the kitchen and sits the rock on top of the island that we are all standing around it's me, Dani, Valerie, Sam, Alex, Nicole, Jenny, Cheyenne, my mom and Jane. my Mom said " It was probably some kids". Jane said " Let's keep an eye out just in case something else happens". the door bell rings and my mom walks through the small hallway leading to the front door she opens it and said " Hey Mason come in". my mom comes back through the hallway with him behind her he is carrying two 12 dozens roses in his arms.
You can tell he's nervous He said " These are for Riley and Sam". he lays them on top of the island in front of me and Sam we are just looking at him with suspicion a rose was laying on the edge of the island it falls off hitting the floor. Mason bends down and picks it up he lays it down on the counter right in front of Jane she is just eyeballing him she doesn't trust him and none of us do but for some weird reason my mom does now. Jane has every right not to trust Mason after what he did to her Jane said " It's awfully convenient how you show up right after a rock is thrown through our window. you wouldn't happen to know anything about that would you Mason?" He said " No Jane I don't know and I promise it wasn't me Dani can check me to see if I'm lying". he holds his hand out and Dani holds onto it she has her eyes closed for a minute then she opens them. She said " He's telling the truth surprisingly and he's not in love with you anymore that's a very good sign". Jane just stares at him with distrust.
Two months pass with these tricks still going on like someone egged my mom and Jane's house plus someone strung toilet paper all over the house and the trees in the front yard just yesterday I was walking out to my car right as I was unlocking it I felt ice cold water being dumped all over my head soaking me when I turned around nobody was around or even in sight today is Dani's birthday she is twenty today too yesterday would have been Lakein's twentieth birthday; Carly's birthday was January 23rd she would have been nineteen. I just got home from work it's 5:30pm I work at Olive Garden as a server Dani's party is at Jacob's house at 6:30pm I get out of my car and close the door I push the lock button and the car chirps as it locks. I walk up the steps and up on the porch I put my key in the deadbolt unlocking it I close the door once I'm inside locking it behind me and I make my way up stairs where I take a shower because I smell like garlic which Nicole, Jesse, Jane and Cheyenne would be repulsed by because all vampires hate garlic good or bad the evil ones hate crucifixes too.
After I get out of the shower I get dressed I'm wearing a plain black women's work out tank top with my dark blue old navy boyfriend jeans with my black and white air jordans with a red check down the side I'm wearing my necklace Dani bought me for my birthday too as I'm walking down the stairs I feel my black leather belt isn't tight enough so I adjust it making it tighter. I walk out on the porch and lock the door with my key I walk down the steps to my car I get in and start it up pulling out of the driveway headed to Dani's house where everyone is waiting on me about fifteen minutes later I arrive at her house pulling up the driveway right behind Sam's car. Dani walks down the steps from the back porch she opens the metal gate and walks out in the open driveway with me I said jokingly " You are way too hot to be my girlfriend". Dani giggles and nudges my shoulder I wink at her I pull a small ring box out of my front pocket it is made of paper. Dani sees it and I said as I placed in hands " Open it". she pulls the lid of and it's a silver chain that says Danielle her first name I said " I couldn't find one that said Dani I hope it's okay".
She said as she smiled " No it's perfect I love it Danielle is my name even if I don't go by it". I take it out of the box and put it on her neck while she holds her hair up with one hand as she's holding the box I said " When did you start going by Dani?" She smiled and said " My mom has called me it ever since I was a baby and it just stuck". I smiled softly and said " That's really sweet". Dani said " What is your middle name?" I said " It's Claire". Dani said " That's pretty mine is Lynn". we walk up to the metal gate and Dani opens it I follow her in closing it behind me I pull the metal latch down locking it. I walk around the side of the wrap around porch to the back where Dani came from we walk up on the porch with the others Jacob is grilling hamburgers like he did the last time when Dani and Carly were together but that birthday was ruined because of Kevyn that was when Carly found out that Kim didn't give birth to her naturally which means she had to get another woman to carry Carly to full term which that woman was Kelly who tricked Carly's parents with a magical disguise so they wouldn't see the real Kelly and she had Carly making her half-demon and half- witch.
we all hung out on the back porch and ate our food afterwards we decided throw a football back and fowarth to each other good thing Dani has a big backyard Nicole gets back and throws the football it spirals through the air fast Alex is behind everyone as we are spreaded out to avoid knocking each other down she jumps up and catches it right over Jenny's head who was too short to jump for it. Alex and Nicole trade places and she throws the ball out this time Jenny runs up and catches it she trades places with Alex and throws it out after about an hour everyone stops except for Nicole, Jane and my mom. Nicole has the ball in her hand she dashes between them dodging their attempts to grab the ball my mom is dashing towards Nicole as she just dodged away from Jane she sees her coming and leapfrogs over her you are suppose to do it with someone bent over with their back to you so you don't hit them in the head but Nicole can jump higher than a normal human she could even jump over Alex like that and she's tall. she lands on her feet and turns around her and my mom stare at each other I see Jane sneaking up behind Nicole but my mom keeps her eye on her Jane jumps high into the air landing on Nicole's back holding onto her like a monkey. She dropped the football and starts spinning in a circle with Jane still on her back Nicole busted out laughing because Jane takes one hand off and holds on with the other one and tickles Nicole on the side she drops to the ground on her knees and flips Jane off her back she climbs on top of her and starts tickling her as Jane giggles we are all laughing at them. after that everyone in the house getting ready to go home it's 8:00pm Jenny and Cheyenne are the first ones to walk out on the porch we all hear Jenny said in anger " Who the fuck messed with our cars!?" the rest of us walk out on the porch I see Jenny standing at her car looking at it she's pissed off we walk out to the driveway with her and Cheyenne on the side of the driver door painted in hot pink letters says bitch in capital letters. Jenny's car is a blacked out Range Rover sport supercharged dynamic an expensive car, Jesse walks over to her black 2011 Mustang gt it has been spray painted with hot pink paint on the hood but it says dyke the front windshield is busted Nicole is looking at her silver 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS it has been spray painted with bright red paint on the driver side door it says whore in big letters her eyes turn red as she steams with anger that was her Dad's car when he was a teen.
Sam is at her car a 2005 black Chevy cobalt SS supercharged all four tires have been slashed and the front windshield is busted from an object of some sort most likely a baseball bat I see my car behind hers it's the same kind but mine is red the same has been done to my car busted windshield and slashed tires. we are all angry that someone has messed with our cars Jacob said " Do you guys have any clue who would do something like this?" Sam said " Drew , Valerie's ex-girlfriend but I don't see her messing with my car". Jacob said " Should I call the police?" Jesse said " Yeah we have no clue who could have done this it could be anybody". Jacob calls the police and they come over making reports but cops are dumb asses nowadays that could have cared less about what happen to the cars. I stay the night with Dani my mom and Sam had to teleport home leaving their cars in Jacob's driveway Cheyenne rode home with Jenny to stay the night with her. it's about 9:00pm Jacob had just went upstairs to go to bed so Dani and I decided to go up to her room we walk up the stairs and turn right all the way down to a black door down the hallway on the other side of the house it another black door that is Jacob's room. We lay in Dani's queen size bed that has a black headboard the sheets are black the pillow cases are black and red the cover is a big comforter that matches the pillows. there are two black nightstands on each side on her side is a crystal lamp we watched that movie Scream 4 that came out in 2011 starring Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox Arquette the movie lasted about an hour and fifty-one minutes. after the movie we layed there in the dark cuddling then we started kissing Dani is laying on her back I'm laying on my side she has her arms around my shoulders kissing me back and you know how that goes one thing leads to another I find myself on top of her thrusting into her with an eight inch strap on attached to my waist tightly. I kiss her as I'm thrusting she moans softly against my lips I groan in pleasure feeling her around the strapon I began to thrust faster making the skin slap a little I suck on the side of her neck and she whimpers loud I put one of my hands over her mouth muffling the moans as increase the pace.
I move my hand as I keep thrusting at that pace She said breathing heavily " Oh god Riley.." I feel her scrap her nails down the middle of my back I groan loud in pleasure I said breathing heavily " Fuck Dani.." I growl in pleasure and grab her throat with one hand holding onto to it as I pound into her she puts her hand over her mouth as she moans loudly into it I said as kept thrusting at that pace " Is this mine?" Dani moans softly " Yes.. god yes.." I feel her tightening around the strap on as she is about to climax I put my hand over her mouth and she whimpers loudly into my hand as she climaxes hard. Nicole's P.O.V/ A month later it's June 20th my mom's birthday she would be forty-eight when she died and I turned her into a vampire she was forty-six it's me, Alex, Mom and Jesse walking around the grocery store called Kroger's the one in front of Finway high we already have the cake at the house we just forgot the candle we get them a four and an eight I grab an extra twelve pack of cokes for the party. we walk up to the register I sit the cokes up on the conveyor belt along with the candles the cashier pushes the button to make it move she scans the twelve pack of cokes on the scanner she then picks up the candles scanning those too She said " $4.33.. who's birthday is it today?" My mom said " Mine". the cashier said " Are you really turning forty-eight?" My mom said " Yeah". the cashier said " You don't look it at all I thought you were at least thirty. wow I hope I look like you when I'm in my forties".
We walk back out to my car I got the spray paint off of it after someone vandalized our cars Jesse got her car fixed along with Riley and Sam's last month the spray paint came off with nail polish remover surprisingly. I drive back to my mom and Jesse's house we get out of the car closing the doors I'm carrying the twelve pack while Alex has the small bag of candles in her hand Jesse pulls out her keys and unlocks the door for me I walk in first through the small hallway right as I step into the kitchen I feel my feet sliding out from under me I fall on my back the twelve pack slide across the floor into the living room it was like a chain reaction when I fell cause Alex slides and hits the floor on her back beside me followed by my mom who tries to catch her balance but she hits the floor on her hip as she fell Jesse was sliding she twisted and slid on her side on the floor. we all groan in pain I growl in frustration as I raise up I see an oily substance on my jeans and the floor I smell the powerful smell of Garlic coming from the oil I start gagging so does my mom and Jesse; by the sounds of us gagging Alex already knows there is garlic in the olive oil the front door comes open as we trying to get up.
Riley, Sam and Valerie stand in the hallway trying not to laugh at us Riley said " Are y'all alright?". Alex said " Someone covered the floor in olive oil that is infused with garlic". we stumble up and I run upstairs to jump in the shower my mom and Jesse go up to their room to take a shower in the bathroom in their room while Alex and the others clean up the olive oil. after an unexpected shower I walk back down stairs with different clothes on Alex had to teleport to our house to get me some clean clothes all the windows are open to kill the smell of the garlic we are sitting in the living room I'm sitting on couch with Alex beside me Riley is sitting next to her, Valerie and Sam are sitting at the end of the couch, Jesse is sitting in a grey chair that matches the couch with my mom on her lap. I'm sitting there racking my brain trying to figure out who has been behind these pranks for five months then it hits me I said " I have a feeling Drew or Josh might be behind the pranks it makes since that's what Mason and Josh did on mom's birthday last year at the cabin".
Jesse said " We know that it isn't Mason because Dani checked him on Riley and Sam's birthday". I see a sarcastic look in my mom's eyes she gets up off Jesse's lap She said to her " How do we know that Mason isn't lying? he could be helping Drew and Josh pull the pranks". Jesse said as she stood up from the chair " I know I am the last person who would stand up for Mason but I can sense that he has changed he's not who he used to be". My mom said " Have you forgot about what he done to me twice?? he basically raped me Jesse and now you say that he has changed??" I sense some tension I feel like they are having their first fight. Jesse said " I remember what he did to you because Kelly just made you do the same thing. look I'm not saying you have to be all buddy buddy with him but give him a chance and you will see". My mom said " Like you have been with him lately?? how can you hang out with someone who has raped me twice?!" Jesse said " I'm so sorry for what he did to you.. and I have felt horrible because I couldn't stop it both times it happened.. I don't want to fight with you on your birthday baby I'll stop hanging out with him since it really bothers you"..
I see tears in Jesse's eyes and in my mom's they walk into the kitchen to talk more my mom has her back against the sink while Jesse has hers against the island I hear my mom say " I'm sorry I hurt your feelings it has really messed with me.. what he did to me".. I hear her cry Jesse said " If anyone knows how you feel about that it's me.. I was raped by Diana that one time.. you trust me about Mason don't you?" my mom said " I trust you I just don't trust him at all". Jesse said " I promise baby the Mason that did that to you isn't here anymore".. she pulls my mom into a hug and they hold each other close they look at each other and Jesse kisses my mom softly. they stand there kissing for a minute I said to the others " It's time to start confronting Josh and Drew if it's not them we confront everyone else". I look over at my mom and Jesse who are still making out Riley said playfully " Get a room you two". Jesse stops kissing my mom and smiles mischievously and said " We will. plug your ears girls". she holds onto my mom and teleports her upstairs they laugh as they teleport away me, Riley and Sam have cringe faces we all said at the same time " Ewwwww". Riley said out loud to them in a playful tone " Y'all's joints sound like rice krispies!" we all laugh hysterically Jesse says from upstairs " Yours will sound like that one day!"
