2 - Chapter 10 - Sheidheda - Luca

Wrens Pov

"Ok, here we go" I hear my mother say in a soothing way. I look up from where I'm sitting and see her walking in with Luca. He has blood all over his face. I stand up and walk to them.

"What happened?" I ask

"It's not his blood" my mother says back "Take him to the Decon Shower. Clean him up." She says to leave of the men. He nods his head yes. He walks Luca to the Decon Showers. "Don't push him to talk. Yesterday he lost his biological parents, and today his people where killed." She says sternly.

"What can I do for him?" I ask

"Just be there. Be his friends" she says. She then leans to me and kisses my forehead. I then walk over to Luca. To try to make him feel better. She watches me go. She then looks around for a moment before going over to the cameras. She sees one that catches her eye. It's Nikki sneaking around outside.

I walk over to Luca. He doesn't look up. I sit down on the bench next to him. I put my hand on his hand. Telling him I'm there for him. We sit a while before people start to stand up and look at the reactor door. I stand up and walk around the corner that leads directly to the door. I see Nikki when I turn around the corner.

"Jackpot" she says. My mother than hits her from behind with a metal pipe.

"How'd I look on camera?" I hear my father say in a joking way.

"Oh good" says my mother back. "She followed Indra?" She asks

"Yeah" he says back. He grabs the gun that Nikki had. "You know I'm starting to miss being a live coward" he says and my mother looks towards him. She then makes a motion for me to walk over to her. I walk over to her.

"I want you to keep this at all times" she says handing me a knife. I grab it. "Do you understand?" She asks. I nod my head yes. "Good" she says. My father then drags Nikkis unconscious body over to some of the pipes. He ties her up to them. My parents talk for a moment. I blank out.

"Wren, wren, wren" says My dad.

"Oh sorry" I say. He starts to say something but then Nikkis wakes up and starts to scream.

"Your guest is awake" says my mom to my dad.

"Oh look, she snores worse than you" he says in a joking way. He walks over there.

" Go make Luca feel welcomed" says my mother.

"Ok" I say. I walk over to Luca. He's sitting on the ground. Up against the wall. I sit down next to him. We sit in silence. It's kinda nice. I hear my dad taking to Nikki. I can't make out words though. I take out a cloth with bred in it. I put it in front of him. Telling him to grab a piece. He doesn't. Someone else goes to grab a piece. I wrap the cloth again.

"Fine." I say "Then we won't eat either. I know how you feel. When I was taken over by Sheidheda. I thought I was alone. I didn't remember anything except for when I was 4 years old. I got scared a lot. But my parents, and my aunt and uncles and everyone else helped me through it." I say. I take a breath before I continue. "Friends can be good at that too." I say. He slowly moves his hand to the bread. I take the cloth off of it . He grabs a piece. I put the bread in front of Pietro and Enzo. (Also Enzo is not his name. It's like Pietro. I just gave them both a name to make it easier) They both grab a piece. I grab one two. I put it in my mouth. My parents watch me through the window.

"I wish I knew you as a kid" my dad says to my mother in the other room. She puts her head against his shoulders.

"She seems to be doing better" she says back.

"She really does" he says back. "We should probably go back upstairs" he adds on. Murphy starts to walk away.

"Wait" says Emori and Murphy turns around and looks back at the camera. There's people at the door

"You think they have engine troubles?" He asks in a sarcastic way. "Here" he says giving her his gun.

"What?" She asks. Trying help protect her daughter form who ever is there.

"Stay here" he says. Trying to protect both of his girls.

"No. I'm coming with you." She says "he'll except to see both of us"

"So we got in a fight. You went for a walk.  Don't worry I'll sell it. Protect Wren" he says

"What if you don't? I need to protect Wren to. I just got her back. I can't lose her again, And she can't lose her father. You'll be on the wrong side of the door" she says

"She can't lose her mother. You'll be on the right side of the door." He says. They hug each other. "I've got this. Keep you and Wren safe. I'm coming back." He says. He then walks away. Emori makes a come over here sign. I see it and walk towards her.

"Weres dad?" I ask

"Trying to save us all" she says. She puts her hand over my shoulders. Bringing me closer to her. I don't pay attention to the screen.

" Hey. Cyclops." Says my mother. Bringing my mind back to the real world. I look at the screen. I see Sheidheda walk to the camera."Yeah that's right" she says "If anything happens to John. I blow the reactor. If you try to come in here. Guess what. I blow the reactor." She says on the intercom.

"There bluffing Heda" says one of the knights.

"Are they?" Asks my father. "Everyone in there knows that their dead the second that door opens. In life that's called having nothing to lose. In chess I believe that's called a stalemate." Says my father.

"Games not over yet. John." Says Sheidheda. He then looks away from my father and back to the screen. "King takes knight!" He yells. He then grabs my father and walks him out of the room. "Stay here waits them out. When the door opens kill them all." He yells on the way out.

"Will he be okay?" I ask my mother. She grabs me and hugs me. Putting my head in her neck. Keeping me close to her.

"He'll be okay, he'll be okay." She says whispering to me. Trying to make me feel better.
