The team watched as JJ put a single rose on the casket. They knew the relationship the girls had. But none of them knew that Emily watched from afar.

She was supposed to leave today. It broke her heart not saying goodbye. Seeing her friends say goodbye to her.

"You shouldn't have done that Em." JJ scolded as she drove. "Anyone could have seen you."

They were on their way to the airport.

"I know. It was stupid." She started. "But it's the only goodbye I'll get for now." Her voice cracked as she finished her sentence.

JJ grabbed Emily hand and looked at her during a stoplight. "That wasn't forever. We will find him and you will come home. I promise you." She said locking eyes with the brunette.

They sat on their plane after security. Emily still had tears in her eyes. "Come here." JJ said as she opened her arms and pulled her into a tight hug.

She felt her tears on chest as Emily rested her head on it. Before JJ knew it Emily was asleep.

She looked out the window into the clouds and slowly drifted off herself.

"Hey. We're here." She said shaking her awake. They got off the plane and got in the car Hotch had set up.

"Welcome to Paris Amelie Martin"she said as they arrived at Emily's new and furnished apartment. "I love my new name."Emily said as they sat on the couch and fell asleep.

When Emily woke up she felt her arms wrapped around someone's waist. She nuzzled her head closer to JJ's chest, so close she could hear her heartbeat.

"While this is great, I'm hungry." JJ said as her stomach rumbled.

"Me too. Let's go get Italian. We also have to run to a grocery store. There is nothing here." Emily replied with a chuckle.

The duo got ready for their dinner and walked to the bistro.

"Jay? How long are you staying?" Emily asked while sipping her wine. She wished she could stay with her forever, but she knew that wouldn't work.

"My flight is Sunday morning. So about a week." The blonde replied. "Hotch told the team I needed space."

As the waiter came over Emily was ready to order for JJ. Before she could she was surprised that JJ spoke fluent French.

"Where did that come from?" She laughed as the waiter left. "I took French in high school. And college. And I did multiple study abroad semesters." JJ said with a smile.

"Rose did it and used to teach me some things." The brunette knew who she was talking about. JJ had an older sister that killed her self at 16 when JJ was 11. She reached over and grabbed her hand.

"We don't have to talk about it if you don't want Jay." "No. It's important to remember the good." She smiled.

They finished their meal and started to walk to the store.

Emily was looking at the produce "Okay. I need like everything so..." she turned around to see a guilty looking JJ. She looked at the cart and three bags of Cheetos sitting in it.

"Jennifer Jareau!" She said laughing. "I haven't had French Cheetos in a while." She said defending herself. "They taste the same, don't they?" JJ's jaw dropped. Emily was never going to say that again.

"They definitely do not taste the same. All countries may have the same brands, but they all taste different." She started.

As Emily walked through the door of the apartment JJ was still rambling about Cheetos. JJ came in behind her eating from one of the bags. She threw the other two at Emily.

"Hide these Prentiss." She said with yellow dust all around her mouth.

"Okay Jareau." The brunette responded covering her laugh.

As the two sat on the couch watching movies eventually the two drifted off to sleep.

It was Saturday morning. Emily woke up to the smell of bacon and pancakes.

"Oh she cooks! She's perfect." Emily said with a giggle as she received a punch in the arm.

"So, last day. Let's do dinner then go to the Eiffel Tower." JJ said eating her bacon. Emily smiled. "Absolutely."

As JJ ate she saw Emily rubbing the area she got branded. "Hey. You okay?" She asked.

"It just hurts having to be constantly reminded of it." She said picking at her fingers.

"Let's cover it. Let's go get tattoos." She saw the smile on Emily's face. "I'm dead serious."

After seeing the seriousness in the blondes face, she agreed.

They spent their day together packing for JJ's flight and setting up Emily's new life.

They walked to a small tattoo parlor and started looking at designs.

"What about a phoenix? Or a blackbird." Emily's face got brighter. "I do love the song."

After Emily got her tattoo it was JJ's turn. She held Emily's hand as she got it. Soon they paid and left.

As the time for dinner came closer, the two got all dolled up.

Jj was wearing a tight black dress with a V neckline. It went down to her upper thigh. It was covered by a yellow silk looking trench coat. Her hair was slightly curled and fell on her shoulders.

Emily wore a black sparkling dress with a low V neck. It had one strap that went behind her neck. She curled her hair and it fell barely touching her shoulders.

Both dresses showed the tattoo bandage.

"Jennifer Jareau. You look amazing." Emily said. "Oh pick your jaw up off the floor Prentiss." She replied.

They had their dinner and walked to the Tower. As they walked it had started to rain.

JJ didn't know this, but Emily loved rain.
