CAREFUL NOT TO FALL

|11•27•2019|

I'm hanging on a broken branch
Atop a willow tree.
I cling onto my dear life
Knowing that no one's going to catch me.

I climb the highest tower,
Careful not to fall
But when I saw him below,
My grip loosened somehow.

I run as swift as the wind
Just to see the white horse
Majestic, enchanting and beautiful,
Too far from my hold.

I wander and saw an old rickety bridge
With a big red sign saying "danger"
Yet I still cross it even with the warning
And cry at the uncertainty while at it.

I'm always careful not to fall,
Not to slip and waver,
But somehow he always comes,
Yet he's not going to catch me either.
