SYMPHONY

|06•29•2020|

I blinded myself to see false light,
I didn't wake myself in my dream.
I still tasted the hope long dry
And rowed my boat down a made-up stream.

I lied to myself that I can reach
The stars above and grant my wish.
I believed the tales whispered by the dead,
I trusted the stories told by the wind.

I counted my hearts devoted to him,
Hoped that once again I'll hear him sing
And hear his heart's synchronized beat with mine,
But I know I was just drawing the line.

I knew it was a trick of time
And it was Destiny playing.
I knew I don't get to call him mine,
It's the lyrics of the song he's singing.

So I made my blindfold fly away
To see the truth that's in front of me.
I opened my hand to set him free
And heard my very own symphony.
