.. Before the creatures can reach us, a watery shield formed around us. The first dog like creature crashes into the shield and I flinch at the rough contact.

"Woooooooouuuuuuuhhhhhh that was close!" Lexi heaves out, clearly out of breath.

I turn and notice my mother's the one who cast the spell or rather my egg donor cast the spell.

"Lexi explain" Dev demands.

"I honestly have no idea what happened, they just started attacking me, it's almost as if they can't recognize me. I literally feed the bloody beasts every day and they came after me while I was coming here". She huffs out, she looks hurt and mad.

"What are we going to do about them?" I ask since we can't stand here all day. I look to Dev for an answer but the answer I get isn't from him.

"Kill them" my father says with no emotion what so ever. While Dev looks furious.

"These are my pets!!" he screams making me jump from the sudden explosion. Damn I guess he loves them that much huh?.

"They have gone rogue, so I say we k-" my father gets cut off.

"No, my pets are still my pets and you have no say in whether they live or die?!"

"I do when my wife and daughter are in dan-"

"Nope! You lost that privilege and you don't need to use me as an excuse to kill anything or anyone" I cut him off while watching the hell hounds keep pouncing on the shield. This is getting boring.

"You are still my blood" he spits anger and irritation evident in his tone. He has a nerve to- "we hurt you and we get that you are mad at us but you can't even imagine what we went through protecting you and breaking our own hearts everytime you hurt!"

Silence.

I want to argue but I'm honestly tired of giving my parents the gift of my attention so I ignore him and look anywhere but at them. It seems everyone is sorry they hurt me and to them they didn't have a choice and it hurt them more than it hurt me bluh bluh bluh. So I guess I have to just do me. Everybody is a traitor, even Dev. He killed and raped me then dares to say I'm his soul mate and how it was necessary and now is acting like my boyfriend.

I'm tired of being the victim. I flipping got kidnapped and tortured! My life is a joke!

"Brother, you really should tame your beasts now, the witch is getting tired" Gabriel says. I literally forgot he was right next to us.

"Don't you think I tried that? They were drugged and can't understand or recognize me" he sighs, "I'll put them to sleep" he snaps his fingers, and they collapse. Tf? Why didn't he do that in the first place?

The spell my mother had cast breaks, letting in all the air from the open door into the room. Now back to the 'threat'.

"So why am I in danger?" I ask everybody at the table since they decided to sit down at the dining table.

"My queen, many people are after you, including the same people who had kidnapped you. But they work for someone who wants you dead. See-" I cut Lucas off.

"Who wants me dead?" I'm curious.

"A lot of people, you are the missing piece of Satan's power. Once he has mated you your true powers will surface, and the king will be whole. Together y'all will be an unbreakable force" Lucas stops seeing that I'm satisfied with his answer. But then what about Michael?

"What about Michael?"

"Michael just wants power, to play God" Gabriel explains, "we won't let him get that power so you have nothing to worry about" he smiles at me but I don't smile back.

"The other God's will come for your blood too" Katrin whispers but we all heard her.

"What's so special about my blood?" I'm really in a lot of danger. I'm so fucked! How am I supposed to fight, I don't even know what kind of mating I'm supposed to do with Dev in order to be strong.

"The question is, when will you be a threat enough for them to come after you?" My mother says seriously, and I think about her words.

"As soon as they mate" Lexi interjects. "Which should be soon"

Soon? I bloody lost my virginity by rape to Satan himself. I know I was horny 45 minutes ago, but I can't explain why he has this effect on me, and I hate it.

A normal human being wouldn't be able to stand the person who raped her. Deep down I know I've forgiven him. For killing me too. And now they expect me to lay on my back and take it again?

"Lucifer we still need to discus-" My father begins but is interrupted by a small boy walking in with a letter in his hand. He looks terrified. Well, he looks like a demon more than human. He hands the letter to Dev who starts opening it. Everyone remains silent.

" It's from Hermès " I peep over his shoulder to read the letter from the Greek God.

"What does the letter say?" My father interrupts.

"We are going to war" is all that Dev says.
