Chapter 48- Ophelia's POV

"We should just stay home. I mean we can't leave Ophelia here all alone." Mum says to Dad. They're getting ready for their monthly dinner party with Uncle Lee, Uncle Walter, and Auntie Em.

"Charlie said that he will come by and keep her company. There's nothing to worry about." Dad says to mum.

I've been getting better. Wearing the glasses that Dad gave me nearly all the time. Like right now, I'm lying on the couch in the living room instead of hiding in my room.

"You know I adore Charlie. But is he really the best choice to have watch Leah and the littles? Why don't we just call your mum." Mum says looking at herself in the mirror that's beside the front door.

I watch as dad goes over to her and hugs her from behind, kissing her on the cheek. "Mum and Dad are off on the beach with Bill and Fleur. Besides, would you rather have ickle Ronnie kins or Charlie babysit."

Mum smiles, "Ickle Ronnie kins has raised two children. Charlie has raised dragons."

"Dragons seem harder to raise darling." Dad says to her.

"Bloody hell mum, Uncle Charlie won't dangle Annie out of the window or something. We'll be fine." I say from the couch.

Mum comes over to me and kisses my forehead softly, "Don't swear at me young lady." She kisses the top of my head again and stands up straight.

Just as she does that, the fireplace sputters and green flames erupt out of it. Once it all dies down Uncle Charlie is standing in the middle of our living room with a big smile on his face. "What's going on in here?" He says proudly.

He goes over to mum and dad and give them a hug each. "Hi Charlie darling." Mum says, kissing him on the cheek.

"Uncle Charlie!" Theo shouts from somewhere in the flat. His voice feels like nails on a chalkboard and my dull headache flares up, causing my eyes to tear up a bit. I watch as Theo launches himself at Uncle Charlie and he picks Theo up with ease, hanging him upside down.

"You two go have a great night. We'll order a pizza and watch one of those muggle movies I keep hearing about." Uncle Charlie says. Mum still looks a little hesitant, "I'm serious Violet, head off. We're going to be fine."

Mum goes over to the kitchen table where Annie is working on something and kisses the top of her head, then she comes back over to me and kisses my forehead softly again, "Be good for your uncle please. I love you all so much."

Dad takes mums arm and slowly guides her out the front door and down the stairs into the shop below.

Uncle Charlie puts Theo right side up, Theo's a giggling mess. "How's your head feeling Leah?" he asks me.

I half shrug, "As good as it can after being hit by a bludger I suppose."

Few hours later and Uncle Charlie, Theo, Annie, and I are all in the living room eating pizza from a shop in the alley. "Uncle Charlie, can I ask you something?" Theo asks, putting his cup down.

"Course you can."

Theo thinks for a moment, then he says, "Why aren't you in Romania anymore? I mean you've never stayed in England this long after Christmas."

Uncle Charlie smiles and looks at each of us, "Can I trust you lot with a secret?"

"Are you getting married?" Annie says excitedly.

Uncle Charlie laughs which makes my headache worse but I don't bother saying anything, "You sound just like my mum. Godric, no I'm never getting married. I've actually got a new job that I'm starting in a few months so I thought I'd do best and just stay in England till it starts."
