2 years later

You've made a peaceful life for yourself for yourself. After you left you kept flying until you found a remote planet covered in lavish forests and meadows. You'd never seen anything like it in your life and it was perfect. Hiding your ship in a cave you made your way into the closest village and everything went from there. Now you live alone on the edge of a clearing in the forest, two fields reach out through the open area. One covered in grass and the other a fenced vegetable and livestock area. A well marked path leads the way to the village only a few minutes walk away. You had no idea life could be this peaceful especially now you've come to terms with people seeing your face, you were actually enjoying others being able to see your expression.

Sitting on the front step of your cottage you bask in the mid morning sun dappling down on your skin. Not too far off the excited squeals of the local children thunders down the path to your house making you jump up to your feet with glee.

"Good morning Miss Y/l/n." They all call excitedly.

A few months into your living here you'd become a teacher and you were loving it.

"Good morning class. I see you've already done your warm up. How about we get straight into weapons class and then we'll do some reading?" You ask with a big smile on your face.

Chasing the rabble into the field you help hand out wooden staffs and pair them up. Since you knew how to fight you felt it was important that the kids learned too and the parents agreed.

"Ok so today you're going to learn how to counter attack after blocking. Do you all remember how to block?" Enthusiastic nods wave through the group making you chuckle. "Ok well to counter attack you take one step in with your strong foot and swing the opposite to the way you'd just blocked. But remember, this isn't always the best move ok." You demonstrate as you explain, the children's eyes glued to you in fascination. You are wearing a simple soft grey linen dress that gently clings to your body but the skirt allows for you to move with ease as do the sleeves ending at your wrists to hide your burn scars. There was no real need to be battle ready in a place like this. Nodding the kids start to run through your instructions slowly, most picking up on it and a few struggling. With a smile you help everyone out, explaining the move in as many different ways as you can knowing some kids needed it. Soon enough they're all smiling wildly, executing the move with smooth precision.

"At this rate you all might be better than me in a week." You jest making them all giggle wildly. "Ok come on let's get some reading done. Go go go" you usher them excitedly as they toss their staffs into a pile and run back towards your cottage.

Taking a few steps you feel yourself stop, your eyes scanning the tree line for something or someone, but you see nothing. With a small shake of your head you keep walking and perch once again back on your doorstep, the kids sit on log stumps in front of you. Taking a book from your side you open to the marked page and the kids pick up their own. It was a miracle that the village had this many books but you learned that the first settlers here were a small group seeking a new place to thrive and build a community so brought as much as they could to educate the future generations instead of falling into disarray. Clearing your throat you begin to read.

"Section 3. The secrets of a key..." through the section of the book you call on different kids to read, making sure to sit next to them when it was their turn. If a child struggled with a word you'd work it through with them slowly, helping them sound it out and if they didn't want to read much you never forced them to. As you reach the end of the section you close your book up and smile at the kids, proud of their progress.

"That was amazing class. Now run along home and have some lunch, there won't be anymore classes today. Tomorrow we're going to be doing maths and history."
