Jabba's Palace, not really where you imagined you'd be spending your evening but here you are stood next to Boba Fett over the Rankor pit.
"(I welcome you to my palace.)" Jabba starts, just the sight of him making you feel quite ill. "(I have a job for both of you. 10000 credits each if you work together to bring me the head of my rival Lanthof Xander. Bring him in alive and I shall reward you even more.)" He laughs heartily, licking his lips as he looks you over. God he makes you sick.
"Sounds good to me. How about you Fett?" You ask turning to the armoured man.
"I don't like partner work." Is all Fett says before Jabba glares at him angrily. "But I can make an exception this time. Be at my ship in 30 minutes." He orders you before walking off and standing in amongst a small group of very sexy twi'leks making you scoff in disgust. Men.
Grabbing your gear from your ship you make sure to have it well within Jabba's docks that Jawa's wouldn't dare touch it, as if that was your biggest worry right now. You've just been hired to work with the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. Slinging your bag over your shoulder you make your way over to the Slave 1. Finding the ship shut tight you let out a sigh, planting yourself on the ground your bag slumping off of your shoulder as you wait for your partner. You wait nearly ten minutes before Fett appears.
"You took your time." You joke in an annoyed tone. Not responding he opens up the ship and walks in, you scramble up and follow after him. The Slave 1 is rather messy, typical of a lone hunter. Rolling your eyes you step up into the cockpit, jolting you stumble around watching as Boba starts the ship up.
"Thanks for the warning." You mutter, dragging yourself into a free seat your bag tightly as the whole ship shakes. "Ohhh I'm going to die. I'm going to die in this death trap of a ship." You whisper quietly over and over, getting a stone cold stare from the Bounty Hunter next to you as the ship comes out of the atmosphere.
---
"You know I don't bite. You can talk to me." You grumble quietly getting tired of his silence. When you don't get a response you cross your arms slumping down in your seat. "Ok do you have a problem with me or something?" You near shout, finally having enough.
"My problem with you is that I don't need you on this job. I'm more than capable of doing this on my own." Boba says harshly.
"So you don't think I am capable of doing this job?" You bark back at him, scrunching your nose in anger.
"I don't doubt you're capable of the job. I just don't need the help of someone like you."
"Someone like me? What the hell is that supposed to mean Fett?" You shout your voice pitching in anger. Your snapping around to look at him.
"You work small jobs. Nothing more than 2000 pay out. You've got skill but you're a small timer." He says in a matter of fact tone making your blood boil.
"You know if you actually took 3 seconds to try and have a single conversation with anyone you might not such an ass. You should really get out more and I don't mean sleeping the Jabba's Twi'leks. Not all of us can be emotionally distant bastards like you." You sigh getting up from your chair and taking a seat on the floor just outside the cockpit. What you said strikes a nerve with Boba. It's true he's not been the most social of people and that has effected how he treats people but what he had said he meant but possibly not meant it in the way you took it. Putting the ship into autopilot he jumps up from his seat walking out of the cockpit finding you sat against the wall.
"We should both get some rest. This is going to be a rather strenuous hunt. There's a room down the hall you can sleep in." He says his voice a little softer than usual. Climbing to your feet you pick up your bag from the ground, your arms dangling beside you sadly.
