Skylar
"I can't do this anymore, Skylar." Ryan said, walking into our room where I was grading papers. I looked up.
"Can't do what, Ryan?"
"This. Raise a family with a woman who doesn't want to get married. When I tell my family that I have a family of my own, they ask when they're going to meet my wife. I have to explain to them that I don't have a wife! That I'm raising two children out of wedlock with my girlfriend who is against marriage. I can't do this." I was confuzled.
"You know why I don't want to get married. I thought you were okay with it?"
"I was okay with it. But now I'm not so sure. I want to be with you forever. I want to get married to you, to raise our children together, I want to grow old together, knowing that there is no chance that you will ever be with anyone else. If you can't promise that, then I'm done."
"Ryan.. I c-can't. You know why I can't. I t-thought you u-understood?" The papers I was grading had dropped and I was holding myself now, trying my best not to break.
"I understand. Goodbye Skylar." Ryan turned and walked out, slamming the front door behind him.
That was it. My love just left me, something he promise he would never do. My whole life, my everything just ended things because I was so selfish and too scared to give him what he wanted, what he needed.
I dropped the rest of my grading materials and curled up in our bed, pulling my knees to my chest. I wasn't able to cry, I felt it was selfish to.
My world was crushed.

"Wake up, Hudson!" J.T. Hanson screamed in my ear, blowing his blow horn again. I growled, jumping up and snatching it out of his hand.
"Buzz off, Hanson!" I yelled, falling on the ground with the airhorn in my possession.
I opened my eyes, looking around at the scene.
"Sleeping on the job, Hudson?" Lukas tutted. Wait... It was sixteen-year-old Lukas... "Bad for business."
"We're in History. I don't think that technically classifies as work, dumb ass." Briana snorted, her light brown curls bouncing.
"Briana! You're not pregnant!" I whispered loudly, running over and hugging her.
"With who's baby?" She fired back.
"And Lukas, you're not contemplating bisexuality..."
"That's debatable." Briana coughed.
"Hey! Of course I'm not, Hudson!" He thought for a second, "Ha! You were dreaming about me, weren't you, Hudson?"
"You were considering being bisexual in my 'dream'. More like you were mentioned. Now buzz off, Harden."
"Fuck you too, Hudson."
"No thanks." I waved sarcastically as he walked away. "Bri, what year is it?"
"2016. What's going on with you, Sky? You're freaking me out."
"It was 2021 and everything was weird. You were married to Brian and expecting your third child-"
"Brian? I was married to Brian?!""Yes. Anyway, Lukas was engaged to Megan, Coleman was gay and he previously dated Jayy, but then he started hooking up with my student and they eventually started dating..."
"Jayy? Jayy Von Monroe?! Honey, how hard did you hit your head?" I shook said mentioned area.
"I didn't hit my head! This actually happened. Cole had a child with Kaylie, Matt also slept with Kaylie, even though Coleman was dating her, but he didn't know, so Devin actually could be Matt's kid, but Cole never tested it because he wanted Devin so much to be his. So he cussed Matt out and said that Matt was dead to him. But you know, whatever. And I had two kids and am engaged... well I was engaged. He broke it off. Then I woke up and it was a dream. It was all a dream!" I was now sitting down, losing my mind.
