Ring ring ring!

I groaned and rolled over in my bed, pushing my phone off of the bed. Stupid annoying ass.

The bed was big and cold, something I wasn't used to. I guess being single had something to do with that.

I sat up and groaned, letting the sheets drop off of my shoulder.

My previous relationship with Jayy was not a romantic one persay. I shouldn't have even expected something like that from him. He was not the romantic type, obviously, so why did I want romance?

I looked over at my phone that was laying on the ground. It was ringing again.

I scooped it up and looked at the blurry screen. It was three o'clock in the afternoon. Never mind that, Skylar was calling me.

"You got Cole. Who are you and why are you calling?" I mumbled.

"Didn't you check the caller ID, smart one?" I heard her silky voice on the other end chuckle slightly.

"I did. But I forgot right after. What do you need, Skyguy?"

"Skyguy? That's a new one. No, anyway, I have an appointment and I have a student under my care in detention until six. I need you to get your butt over here right now and take over." I groaned loudly.

"Why me? Why can't you have someone else do it?" I wiggled my toes under the covers, entertaining myself with the moving fabric. This was so unfair..

"Because you're the only one who can! You come to my classroom all the time. You're an excellent substitute and I seriously think you should take up the profession instead of working at Best Buy." She was talking way too damn fast for the hours of sleep I got. Which was only about... wait a minute...

"Yeah yeah. I'll think about it. I'm going to get dressed and come over soon. Just wait for me."

"My appointment is twenty minutes away and I have to leave now. Hurry your ass up or so help me god..." She whispered the last part very menacingly.

"Bye babe." I hung up my phone and threw it somewhere in the closet before rolling off the bed. I slowly got up and made my way over to my dresser. I pulled out a smallish plain navy tee shirt and a pair of beige prep pants, as Skylar calls them.

I didn't have time to shower unfortunately and after the somewhat emotionally eventful night I had, dream wise, I should have considered at least running my head under water. But noooo. All I did was spray myself down with eight dollar Axe and run out to my car.

I got to the high school in ten minutes flat, tumbling out of Baby Rusty and almost face-planting nearly a million times as I ran to her classroom.

"Whoa, Cy, you got here fast. Thanks babe." She spat, kissing my cheek and leaving in a hurry.

I looked around the room and saw that only one teenager sat in the room.

"So what are you in here for?" I found myself saying out loud. The raven haired teen snapped his head up from his book and looked around frantically before focusing on me.

"A-are you talking to me?" Awwww. He was adorable.

Wait what?

Yeah. I can call him adorable and not get looked at weirdly.

Why were these thoughts running through my head. I could call a pipsqueak adorable. No harm no fowl, aye?

Shit, I sounded like Skylar. Fuck my life.
