The ice warriors threw her into a cell at the bottom of their frigid temple and slammed the door shut on her

Mileena growled and lept towards the bars snapping her jaws shut where his hand had been mere seconds before causing him to leap back and exclaim and expletive in Chinese

Mileena laughed a little at this small victory then growled at the other two lin kuei making them back up at least a step

Mileena: awww do I scare you? Hehe, st least someone here is afraid

Mileena fell back into one of her oldest habits, she hid her true feelings behind sarcasm and threats, she had been doing this ever since she had gone on an assignment with kitana

On that assignment she had attempted to break the ice with a joke, it hadn't been a very good joke, the joke had been something like this

Mileena: sister, what did the apothecary say to rain at his appointment?

Kitana sighed and turned to her without the slightest hint of humor

The sharp tone and obvious distaste in Kitanas voice made her nervous but she decided to press on

She smiled and gave an awkward little laugh hoping kitana would share in this amusement, she hadn't, kitana made a sarcastic remark saying

That remark had stung her heart, it had only been one of many however

Mileena shook her head and brought herself back to the present where the Lin kuei was trying to threaten her as he left

Once they were gone Mileena sat down in the cell and signed, why was everything so against her, y/n needed help, she was imprisoned and too exhausted to teleport out

Mileena,: damit, I wish.....

She didn't dare say it out loud...... she wished she wasn't so alone, wish that she could rely on others for help like the earthrealmers could

Mileena: sigh, can't help by sitting here

She struck our at the cell door only earning a few sparks for her efforts

She growled and then sighed

Mileena: useless, im so useless, why can I never do anything right?!

She found herself shouting at the top of her lungs, usually this kind of kept in her mind but since all the other cells appeared empty she didn't care

She fell back down into a sitting position sighing once again, she was certain she was alone but to her annoyance she got a nagging feeling of being watched

She didn't like to be watched unaware
