Kostas

We sat in our living room waiting to hear from someone. Anyone! No one spoke, no one breathed even. Ira was kidnapped almost five days ago. I haven't slept since and I've had to been force fed by Cristy and my sister so that I'll have energy. Lucas was extremely unsteady and couldn't stop pacing and howling and worrying, and neither could I.

"Kos-" Arty started.

"Don't," I snapped, not wanting to hear her. I knew what she would say. "Don't say it."

"Kostas, it's been almost a week," she said, "and the only notice we have that she's even alive still is the note you found."

The note she's referring to is the one I found under Ira's operation bed. It read:
Alpha Kostas,
I have you're precious, wounded mate. If you want her back, do exactly as I say and wait for me to call. If you try and pull anything, like tracking down the phone call, I will break your mate's bones until she passes out, or maybe something a little more...extreme.
Alpha Holloway

I was beyond pissed about finding that. I told everyone that I didn't want the call to be traced because I was afraid of what they'd do to Ira. Everyone understood.

Ring!

I snatched up the phone faster than you could blink.

"What have you done to Ira?!" I shouted into the phone.

A man chuckled on the end. He sounded young, younger than I thought Holloway was. Who was he?!

"Calm down wolfy," he said calmly. "Put me on speaker."

I did. "What do you want?"

"I want you to trade-"

Screams broke through the phone interrupting him. It was a a girl, and she was screaming the word 'no' over and over again.

"Shut her up!" the man said.

"Ira?!" I asked quickly.

"Kostas! Don't do it! Please! Don't do it!" she shouted.

"I said shut her up," the man said again.

I growled loudly into the phone. "Don't touch her!"

"Kostas don't-" she said before she was cut off by a loud slapping sound.

I growled louder into the phone when I heard that. Oh hell no! They just slapped her! I'm going to rip their throats out and then tear their balls off!

"Don't touch her!" I screamed as everyone else growled.

The man chuckled. "I can do whatever I want to her. You're not here to know."

I growled threateningly and everyone around me shrunk down. The man was silent for a moment before he continued talking.

"As I was saying before, in order to get your mate back, you need to trade places with her. You do that simple thing, I won't kill her."

I growled again. Kill Ira? He wouldn't dare! Whoever this jackass was I was going to kill him. But trade me for Ira? Of course I'll do it, but what would I do to get out of that? If I go, I'd still be seperated from her. Crap, what am I going to do?!

"You have ten seconds to answer before I crush her arm," the man said.

I could barely hear Ira panicking in the background. I growled into the phone as Ira spoke.

"Don't do it Kostas! Please don't!" she begged, crying. My heart was breaking. Why wouldn't she want me to save her? She didn't want to be there did she?! "Please Kostas!"
