Ira
Kostas froze and stared at Troy.
"A what?!"
"Yes alpha," Troy said calmly. "There's a rogue army approaching our territory at full speed, half of them already shifted."
Kostas looked back at me and then back at Troy, determination set on his face. Uh-oh, what did have planned?
"Secure the house, no girl leaves, I want at least thirty guards around the house while the rest of them follow me to the fight," Kostas said.
"What?!" I exclaimed, leaping off the bed.
Troy quickly looked away while Kostas embraced me in a hug to hide me. Troy started to stamper about something and Kostas growled at him, and Troy then walked briskly out of the room. Once the door was closed, Kostas looked at me with panicked eyes as he saw I was afraid.
"What's wrong pup?" he asked.
"You can't leave! And I won't stay here!" I said.
He growled. "You're staying here where I know you're safe! If something happened to you that I wasn't here for then I'd probably kill myself."
"No!" I screamed, burying my face in his chest. "Don't you dare die! You're all I have left."
He was silent as he held me. He was all I had. I didn't have anyone else beside Cristy, but she had Caleb now. I didn't want to lose another person that I loved, all within the span of a few days! If he was leaving, then I'm going with him, whether he knows it or not.
"Pup, you need to stay here," he said softly in my ear. "I need to know that you're safe again, and I promise that I'll come back alive."
He didn't seem very convincing, but I nodded anyway. I felt him relax and he squeezed me again before pulling back. His smile was large and made me feel calm.
"Why don't you take a shower, I'll have someone make breakfast," he said.
I nodded and walked over to the bathroom, but before I closed the door, I looked over my shoulder at him. He smirked at me.
"Do you need me to help you shower?" Kostas asked suggestively.
I blushed and shook my head. He laughed as I closed the door and jumped into the warm shower. I let the water flow over my shoulders and back as I stood there and thought. How would I follow him so I know he won't get hurt? Maybe Arty has an idea.

"What the hell do you mean you're leaving?!" I asked angrily.
Caleb was trying to calm me down, but it wasn't working. I was pissed. We planned to have a romantic day; go out to see a movie, have a dinner date, and then hang out by the lake. But no! Some damn rogues had to come in and ruin it all!
"Calm down babe," Caleb said again. "I promise you that I'll come back and then we can go on that date."
I frown but I nodded, no where near convinced that he'll keep his promise. I ran over to his side of the bed and hugged him, not wanting to let go. He hugged me back with a tight squeeze before a knock was at our door. Kostas and Troy walked in with sad expressions, knowing that no one wanted to go.
"You ready?" Troy asked, already knowing the answer.
"Not really," Caleb said, letting me go.
"No one is," Kostas smiled, trying to lighten the mood.
It didn't work. I frowned again and marched over to them. They looked scared. I held up my finger accusingly and said, "You better make sure he comes back unharmed or else you're going to have one pissed off beta mate to deal with!"
Kostas and Troy both lifted their hands in surrender and then in sync moved a hand over their heart and held up three fingers for the boy scout promise thing. I smiled in triumph and then hugged Caleb again before he walked out, who knows if to return...

I sniffed the air, and it reeked of wood and water. We were close to their territory, and my troops were ready to fight. Alpha Roderick made his orders clear; get the girl at all costs, but do not kill too many people, including the alpha. I didn't like it, but I had to follow orders.
"Captain!" Luther said behind me. "We've got company!"
I looked in front of us and saw the whole pack standing there, over half of them already shifted like us, but they weren't tired like we were, so that's our disadvantage. I made everyone slow down as we approached them. Did they want to negotiate?
"Morning," the alpha said smiling as we stopped before we entered their territory.
I only grunted in return.
"Okay, mind telling us what the big hurry is that you need to pass through my territory?"
I smirked. "Were after a human."
His smile faded and he growled. He looked to be on the verge of shifting, which wouldn't be a good thing. The rogues crouched, ready to leap and attack if need be.
"What do you want with Ira?" he growled.
I smiled as much as my wolf could. He knew we wanted her, and he wasn't going to let her go without a fight, or even death. But sadly, we couldn't kill him...not yet anyway.
"Holloway wants her," I said, earning a loud growl from Kostas.
"Why?"
I smirked again, and that made him snap. All hell broke loose.
