Harry's POV

2 hours later...

I was going insane on the inside. I tried to remind myself to stay calm, but how could I?

"I can't lose her, I just can't lose her." I mumbled.

"Hey, hey. It's okay. She going to be alright mate," Louis assured.

Just then, the doctor appeared from the back.

"Hello Mr. Styles-"

"Harry, please. Is she okay?"

"Well Harry, she has an internal abdominal bleed and a brain bleed. However, she is getting prepped again for surgery. She had some fractures in her ribs which are now fixed. She will experience some obvious trauma from this situation, but her recovery should excel."

Situation?

I could barely understand a thing he was saying. Brain bleed? Internal bleed? Fractured ribs? What does all of this mean?

"Wait, she's bleeding from the inside," I said, putting my hands on my head.

"Yes, but we will go in and fix both bleeds. The police are on their way to figure out exactly what happened. I will notify you as soon as she is out of surgery."

Was I supposed to say thank you? I just stood there empty. I thought nothing. Nothing went through my mind. I watched as he walked away.

"So, what's going on? Is she okay?" Zayn asked.

"She-she has a brain bleed and she's bleeding internally from her abdomen. Um...her ribs were fractured, but he said they went in and fixed them."

"What? Who would have done this?" Louis asked, I could here the anger in his voice.

"I...I don't know. I don't know. Oh, and they said the police are on the way to ask questions."

"Jesus, the paps are going to eat this up." Zayn added.

I looked at him in disbelief. I jumped out my chair infuriated.

"Really man? That's what your fucking thinking about right now? The damn paps! Jayda is in there fighting for her life because I wasn't there to protect her, and you're thinking of the damn paps?"

"Harry, chill out." Niall said, stepping in front of me.

"Chill out? Guys, do y'all see where we are right now? How in the actual fuck am I supposed to calm down?"

My head fell in defeat. This isn't me. I need to stop.

"I'm...I'm sorry lads. I just...I can't right now."

"Hey, it's okay. We're all out of our head spaces right now, but we have to stick together," Liam said.

"I need to go and get her um... get her some clothes but I-"

"It's okay, I'll go with you," Louis offered.

"Yeah okay."

Getting out the hospital was literal hell.

"Harry, Harry is it true that your girlfriend's house was broken into?"

"Harry, was it you who caused her to be in the hospital?"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing? I would hate myself if I ever caused Jayda that much pain.

"Hey, don't listen to them. They don't know what really happened, and quite frankly, neither do we," Louis said, getting into the car.

"Louis, that's the problem. I didn't know. I still don't know what's going on. I wasn't there for her. I could've prevented this all."

"Harry, you had no way of knowing. No one did."

I know he was trying to cheer me up, but it didn't help. We rode the rest of the way in silence.

Pulling up to her house immediately brought back flashes of how she looked before. It made me realize that I didn't see the way she looked before, and I don't know how she looks now.

Imagining her in pain brought an ache to my stomach. We walked inside gazing over the mess. Louis did his best to clean up, as I did the same. I walked into her room where I found her phone.

I could see all the messages I sent her. I scrolled through her notifications when I found millions of people commenting on her posts. Our fans. They were sending her threats. I can't believe she was hiding this from me, I thought. But then again, now I understood why she was under me so much these past weeks.

"Harry! You should come see this," Louis yelled from the kitchen.

I put her phone in my pocket and started toward Louis. There were tons of letters spread out on her table. They were all death threats.

"I can't believe this. She just held on to these and never told me," I said shocked.

"I'm more stunned at the fact that this is our fan base."

"These aren't fans or supporters. This is pure jealousy."

Suddenly Louis got a call.

"Okay, we're on our way," he finished.

"Is she out of surgery?" I said hopeful.

"No, but the cops are there. They're asking for us to come back now."

"Oh.."

"Hey, it's okay. She's going to be okay."

"I hope you're right."

I packed her some extra clothes for when she's out of surgery, then we headed back to the hospital.
