Harry's POV

30 minutes later...

My heart dropped with every step we took in the hospital. It was hard enough being in here; I can't even begin to imagine what Jayda is going through.

"Hello, are you Harry Styles?" An officer asked.

"Yes, that's me."

"Are you the boyfriend of Jayda?"

"Yes sir."

"Were you there at the time of the break in?"

"No," I said dryly.

"Do you know who could've done this?"

"No sir."

"When you found Jayda, what was her state?"

"Um...she was bleeding near her legs, her face was beaten up...and uh...um she uh was bleeding near her head."

The image flashed back into my mind.

"Okay. Listen, I know this is hard, but the better you cooperate the quicker we can get this solved."

"Yea sure. But um, I need to notify her mom. Could you talk to one of the other boys please?"

I didn't really need to call her mom, but I did need to get away from him.

"Of course. I'll be right over here."

However, I decided to take Jayda's phone and call her mom. She deserved to know what's going on with her child.

"Hello, Jayda?" she asked.

She must've been shock to hear from her. I can't wait to get her reaction when she figures out it's me.

"No ma'am, it's Harry," I said softly.

"Oh, you. Why do you have my daughter's phone? Where is she?"

"That's why I'm calling. There was a break in-"

"A break in?" she said horrified.

"Yes, she's in surgery right now. I think you need to get on the next plane out here. I just wanted to call and let you know."

"Oh god, what the hell happened?"

I wish I could answer her, but there was no point.

"Please, Just get here as quickly as possible."

"Uh...okay. Thank you. Please keep me up to date."

"I will ma'am. Let me know if you need one of us to pick you up."

I hung up the phone and walked back towards the boys. I just kept praying and praying that she was okay. I miss her so much.

Just then, the doctor reappeared. It's only been an hour, so his appearance made me worry.

"Would you like an update?"

"Yes, yes of course."

The boys walked over too.

"So far, surgery is going well. I just wanted to come out and talk to you. It's going to be a while before surgery ends, so please get some rest." he instructed.

"Okay, thank you."

I looked at the boys. What am I supposed to do?

"Harry, maybe he's right. There's no use in staying up for so long. We're all tired and need some rest." Liam said.

"I can't just leave her here. And, I have to be here when her mom comes."

"Harry mate, it's an 11 hour plane ride. By then, you should be well rested," Niall added.

"Guys, I..."

"How about we take shifts?" Louis suggested.

I could always count on Louis to come up with a plan.

"I'll take the first shift while you boys go get some rest. Okay?"

"That sounds great, but I don't need any rest. Harry's the one who needs sleep." Zayn said.

"Same," Niall and Liam agreed.

"So I'm just supposed to go while you guys stay here?"

"That's exactly what you're supposed to do. I will call you as soon as we hear any news." Louis said, ushering me towards the door.

"Promise?"

"Promise," he said.

"Okay, but don't forget her bag is over there."

"Harry mate, I've got this. Go get some rest."

I walked past the paps and straight to the car. I drove towards Louis's house. I couldn't bare to go back to Jayda's, and mines was simply too far from the hospital.

When I got to his house, I went directly to the bed. My mind filled with memories of us together. If Louis only knew what we've done here. I began to laugh to myself, slowly beginning to cry. I need her.

I pulled out my phone and called the one person I knew could reassure me. My mum.

"Hello my love, how are you?" she answered.

"Mum, it's Jayda. She's been in a horrible incident." I cried into the phone.

"Harry darling, what exactly happened?"

She's always been so supportive of our relationship. Even though she hasn't even met Jayda yet, she tells me all the time how happy she is for us. I wish she could've met her before all of this.

"Someone broke into her house. She was attacked. Not to mention that our fans have been sending her threats and hate mail."

"Harry that's just awful. I'm so sorry love."

"Why can't people just accept her mum? Why does her race define her?"

"Harry you listen to me. It doesn't matter what race she is. It's about her heart okay? You don't let what everyone else says about her determine y'all's happiness. Do I need to drive down there?"

"No, I just needed to talk to you. I'm supposed to be asleep, but she's all that's on my mind. What am I supposed to do?"

"Be there for her my love. When she's out of surgery, be there for her. She needs to see your face and hear your voice when she wakes up. Everything's going to be okay."

"I hope so. I really do."

"Now, get some rest. I will check back in on you later. Please Harry, just breathe."

I did as she told and tried my best to go to sleep. When I closed my eyes, all I saw was her face. She was lifeless. I never want to see her like that again.
