Harry's POV

The next day...

When I woke up, it was already the afternoon. I rushed to check my phone, but there was no missed calls or text from the boys. What the hell. How could they just let me sleep in. Jayda's mom should be about to land soon.

I got up, took a quick shower, and put on some sweats. Appearance was the last thing I was thinking about. I got in the car and headed towards the hospital. I was guessing Jayda's mom had about 2 hours till landing.

I rushed inside to find the boys still sitting in the same spot. Niall and Liam were sleep, and Zayn was pretty much dozing off. Louis was the only one who remained completely aware. He looked hurt. I went over by him and gave him a hug. He hugged me back instantly.

I could feel the tears roll down his face. Besides me, he was the only one who truly saw how traumatized she was. I put too much on him. I realize that now. I didn't realize how scared he must've been driving with all that pressure.

"I'm so sorry mate. I shouldn't have put all that on you." I said, still holding onto him

"It's not your fault. I'm trying to hold it together for you both, but it's hard seeing you like this and knowing Jayda is in there," he confessed, "I tell you, I wanted to punch Zayn myself for talking about the paps."

We both began to laugh.

"Thanks Louis. You have given Jayda and I the most support since day. Thank you for never questioning this."

"It's not a problem mate. It's like what I said before, I see how happy she makes you and I've missed that side of you. I see Jayda as my little sister now. I don't see color, and I want you to know that."

"I know. I know."

"Yea, so I would appreciate if you would stop doing my sister in my house," he laughed.

"You just had to say it didn't you?"

We both began to laugh making other people waiting look at us.

"Sorry," I laughed.

3 hours later...

"I can't believe she's still in surgery. They're starting to make me nervous," I said.

Just then, Jayda's phone began to ring. It was her mom.

"Hello Harry. Sorry the plane was delayed. Could one of you boys come and get me please?"

"Yes ma'am I'm on my way. I'll be there in 30."

I hung up the phone and got up.

"Hey, where you going?" Louis asked.

"To pick up Jayda's mom. Text me if you hear anything."

"Okay, be careful."

I pushed passed the paps again. These people are really thirsty to get a freaking story. 30 minutes as I said and I was there.

I spotted her immediately.

"Mrs. Matthews, over here." I called.

She turned towards me and walked towards the car. I got out to help her with her bags.

"Thank you. Harry..."

I looked at her. She was losing it.

"Hey, it's okay. Come here," I said, hugging her.

She needed comfort and I was here.

"I'm so sorry. You really are a good person. I know you're going through a lot as well."

"It's okay. I'm so sorry this is even happening."

"It's not your fault."

I noticed paparazzi were beginning to cave in.

"C'mon. I don't want them trying to get a story about this," I said. ushering her to the car

I closed the trunk and got in. I kept my eyes on her the whole ride there.

We pulled into the hospital and I guided her inside. Louis was still up.

"Hey Louis, this is Mrs. Matthews."

"Hello ma'am. I'm Louis."

"Nice to meet you Louis."

I turned my head to see the doctor walking towards us. I guided Mrs. Matthews towards him. Louis and I stood behind her.

"You must be the mother," he said with a smile.

"Yes that'll be me. I'm Mrs. Matthews."

"Hello Mrs. Matthews. You arrived just in time. Jayda is out of surgery now. Your daughter had a brain bleed, and abdominal bleed, and her ribs were fractured, but she is now all fixed up. The surgery was a success. In fact, she should be waking up any minute now."

"Oh thank you," she said, giving him a hug.

"You're welcome ma'am, I'll be back to say when you can see her."

The doctor walked alway. Mrs. Matthews turned around and gave me a hug.

"Thank you for being here with her," she said, kissing me on the cheek.

"Always."

"Well Mama Matthews, how about I go get you some coffee. I know you're tired," Louis suggested.

"That would be nice, thank you."

Louis took Mrs. Matthews away. I just kept reminding myself that Jayda was okay. But was she? Will she even want to see me?

30 minutes later...

"You may see her now," The doctor told us.

Liam, Niall, and Zayn were finally awake. We were all having a conversation to keep Mrs. Matthew's head right.

We walked towards Jayda's room. Her mom was holding on to my arm. She was nervous. The sight of Jayda made my heart stop. Her eyes were still closed, and she had bandages wrapped around her head.

"Jayda..." I sighed.

I went to her side instantly.

"I'm so sorry." I said, giving her a kiss on her hand.

For the next hour or so, we all just took turns being by her side. When the night was over, I took Mrs. Matthews to my place. I figured she wouldn't want to be around 5 boys, so I decided she only had to deal with one.

"Harry, I'm so sorry for judging you. I see how you are with my daughter, and I was jealous she opened up to you like that," she said defeatedly.

"It's okay. I understand. She's your child and you want what's best for her. I just want you to know I didn't take anything away from her. She asked, she was ready. I wouldn't have done anything if I didn't get that confirmation from her."

"I know. I see that now."

I gave her one last hug before showing her where she could sleep. We all need the rest right now.
