It was the exam week, the whole school was in chaos, students standing in group with books in hand cramming everything they can till the very end.
Everyday me and Adam went to a cafe to study together, he sat two benches away from me in the exam hall.
Finally the exams were over after the exams everyone left the school with big smiles,looking forward for the summer vacations.
There were still few days before we leave for Las Vegas. After the exam me and Maria had plans so Adam dropped me at her shop. When I entered her shop the familiar smell of lavender was in the store.
"Hey there" I heard Maria's soft voice, I turned around and we hugged each other. "I ain't gonna ask how were your exams cuz you are gonna hear a lot of that" she said with a huge smile on her face.
We went to a restaurant to have lunch. "So what are your plans for the vacations?" she asked. "Actually me and Adam are going to Las Vegas to visit my sister and my bestie" I answered.
We had our lunch and went back to the shop. "So you wanted to show me something?" I questioned. "Oh yes, follow me" she answered. I followed her to the other end of the shop, there were staircase leading to another floor, she climbed those and I followed her.
I was mesmerized by what I saw next, it was like a totally different world. The whole floor had street wear and a grunge vibe. Maria chuckled when she saw my expression.
"I just added this section to my shop, I saw you recent Instagram pictures and thought you would like it" she said still waiting for me to speak.
It took me a few minutes to take my eyes off the clothes, "its awesome Maria" I said still not able to take my eyes off the clothes.
"Can I buy some stuff?" I asked, "Of course, be my first customer" she replied with her usual smile on her face. I bought a lot of stuff for the trip. I had saved a lot from the past few months and I was satisfied with all the things I had bought.
I said my goodbyes to Maria, Adam was just outside the shop waiting for me in his car. I looked at him with a big smile,I kissed him on his cheek and we rode off to have some dinner.
