The next day when Adam came to pick me up he was acting all weird. He kept glancing at me but said nothing, I got annoyed and asked him "What is it speak". He flashed that i don't know what you are talking about face but I was not buying it there was really something up with him. It took him some time but he did speak.
"See I know it is sudden but I have to leave after school" he said with a serious face. "No prob babe you can come over after you are done" I replied not noticing his seriousness. "Its not that" he said a bit more serious now. I was not at all getting what he was saying "I think I am not following you" I said rather confused.
We got to our parking lot and he parked the car "See some stuff came up and now I have to leave for Vegas like after school, I already booked up my flight" he said. I was taken back by what he just said, he was leaving me?
"Uh I can come like I can check a flight as well, I will reason with my parents as well" I said getting serious. "No" he said sternly, it broke me the way he just refused, its not the time to have a break down gather yourself, I think he got it that he hurt me because he put his hands on my shoulder "Babe it has nothing to do with you its just something I and only I have to finish" he said with a small smile at the end.
"Wait are you going back to them??" I asked, worried now. It took him sometime to realize who I was talking about. "No of course not, I promised you that I would never indulge with those people, now lets go shall we" he said. I nodded.
He hugged me the last time before getting out of the car. All those thoughts came rushing to me that dark time when Adam was with that so called gang, they were dangerous people even though they helped him at times. I shook my head to take that though out of my mind. I opened the car door and stepped out.
The whole day went by rather quickly, I could not stop wondering why he was leaving me and what was the rush for. After school Adam dropped me at my place, he did not come in just kissed my cheek and said "I'll miss you for sure" and then walked to his car. "And there is a surprise for you inside" he shouted before leaving.
What was he up to? What was the gift? Is he really not going back to the dark times? All these question were arising from I don't know where. Oh Adam you are making me worry now.
ADAM
I had this long talk with Noah and Maria, we talked about that bastard for hours. Maria convinced me not to tell Ivy, I was not planning to tell her anyway, I know she will be worried if I did not give her a valid reason. After the conversation I booked my tickets, I even called Mia and told her the whole situation so that she can talk to our parents to let me go.
Then I went to my contacts and stared at that one name, I did not expect to call him but it was necessary for her safety. Even though James (Maria's brother) would bring his people, I bet Andrew would not be there sitting around unprotected, he know me better, maybe it was a part of his plan but I had no other choice. I finally dialed his number.
As expected he picked up call. I talked with him for hours, he agreed as I expected, he loved Ivy. That girl, everyone is attracted to her.
The next day I woke up, dressed and loaded up my car with the stuff I had to take with me. I sat in the car and drove to her house, now the question was how to tell her or more precisely what lie should I tell?
Ivy came out of her house smiling, god that angelic smile, but I knew she is still scared inside. Once she got in the car the atmosphere became rather tensed. I have no idea how to tell her that I was leaving her, when she felt insecure I was leaving her alone. No, I have to clear my thoughts.
"What is it?" she asked, I was confused what she was asking but then I knew she must have read my face. Ughhh I can't even act a bit, I am a freaking fool. I knew that I cannot tell her the truth so I twisted the story and told her that I have to go Vegas today.
She offered to come along but I refused, she looked down. Shit I hurt it, I placed my hands on her shoulders and comforted her "You are not going to them are you?" she asked. I knew what she was talking about or would I say who but I chose not to show it and it worked.
She asked again, I refused because if I admitted I was going back to them she would be mad and more likely sad like really sad. I hugged her, sorry Ivy but I have to lie to you, I will explain it all later and hopefully you'll forgive me, but for now you have to be kept in dark.
After school I left her at her home, she looked worried I knew she was still uncomfortable, I got a message, it was from Amy she was here with Maria. "And there is a gift for you inside" I shouted before driving off.
I will catch that bastard Ivy and will make sure that he never dare to come anywhere near you forget about talking or touching you. He will be gone for good, not be spared after what he did to you, he messed with the wrong person and that he should know.
