"T-tulong!" I shouted asking for help.
"Tulungan nyo po ako"
"W-wag po" I beg them to stop, but they didn't listen.
"T-tama na po"
...........
I woke up gasping for breath. I glanced at the clock and it was exactly 3:00 in the morning.
Panaginip lang pala.
Almost every day, I dream about a girl begging for help, but I don't know why. I don't know who she is.
It all started when I woke up in the hospital. They said I was in an accident, which is why there are things I can't remember.
__Flashback __
Nagising ako sa nakakasilaw na liwanag.
W-where am I?
"Dad, she's awake" I heard my brother's voice.
Dad, Tita Yuri, and Liam came to my side. Ate called the doctor.
Lumapit din ang doctor sa akin at may ginawa bago umalis.
Tita Yuri and Dad left to talk to the doctor.
"How are you, Abby? Are you feeling any pain?" Ate asked.
Bumaling ang tingin ko sakanya. Hindi makapag salita.
"You got into a car accident" my brother said, shaking his head.
I couldn't understand what they were saying. I couldn't remember being in an accident. All I remember is someone bringing me to the hospital.
I could feel the pain in my body.
Napahawak ako sa ulo ko ng bigla itong sumakit.
"Wag mo munang pwersahin ang sarili mo" sabi ni ate Amara.
I don't know why, but I feel fear and pain.
It's unexplainable. All I know is there's something different about me.
Minutes later.
The door opened. I saw Tita Yuri and Dad still talking to the doctor.
"She had a temporary memory loss," the doctor said.
"Kelan babalik ang ibang alaala nya?" tanong ni ate.
"Depende, huwag nyo lang syang pilitin dahil baka hindi na talaga ito bumalik."
Tumingin ako kay daddy pero wala man lang itong reaksyon.
Seryoso lamang itong nakatingin sa kawalan.
Huminga ng malalim si tita.
So I had a temporary memory loss? Is that why I can't remember much?
But Dr. Hayda said only a few memories were lost. Maybe one of them was about the accident.
__________
Weeks passed, and I finally returned home. I thought everything would be peaceful and back to normal once I got home, but it seems I was wrong.
Every day, the same thing happened. I would dream about unfamiliar people and places, then wake up exactly at three in the morning. I shrugged it off, thinking it was just a lingering effect of my accident.
Could they be part of the memories I lost?
It's Monday, I felt a heaviness in my chest, probably from the workload and lack of sleep. I headed to my room and decided to take a nap, hoping na mawala ito pagka gising.
*******
I woke up and didn't realize it was already three o'clock.
Maybe they didn't wake me up to let me rest properly.
I still felt heavy, like I was coming down with something. I tried to get up but couldn't move. I couldn't even move my fingers.
The room and my body felt unbearably hot. I couldn't explain it, but the heat I felt was different. Para akong nasusunog.
I tried to scream for my brother to help me, but I couldn't make a sound.
What's happening?
A strong wind enveloped my room.
Tila nag hahalo ang temperature, cold and hot.
After a few minutes, I still couldn't move, and my condition worsened. I was struggling to breathe when suddenly, someone hugged me.
"T-tulungan mo ako, Abby" a crying woman hugged me.
My whole body went cold.
This couldn't be real.
There was a mirror near my bed, and when I looked at it, I saw a woman smiling but crying, embracing me.
