~Alesa's POV~

Waking up in paradise is like waking up on a school day, and realizing you woke up early, and still having a few hours to sleep.

The view from our rental house was beautiful no matter which direction you looked from. Crystal water here, sandy landscape there. And not to mention the other colorful cottages aligned across the beach.

If you could only describe perfection in a few short words, I'd say "Turks and Caicos." I wish we never had to leave.

~Hannah's POV~

I woke up early in the morning to my phone's buzzing. Okay, not that early. It was eight in the morning. I looked across the room, and Winta was already out of bed, nowhere to be seen in our room.

I rolled over in bed and checked the screen of my phone. The caller ID claimed it was Kyle. I reached over and picked up the phone.

"Hello?" I said sleepily.

"Is this Hannah?" A small voice came through the speaker. Nicole.

"Of course it's Hannah! Seriously?" I heard Kyle's voice further away from the phone.

"Hi, Hannah. Kyle wanted me to call-"

"No I didn't!" Kyle defended himself. I fought back a giggle.

"-to say that we missed you," Nicole finished.

"Aww, I miss you too!" I replied honestly.

"Actually, I wanted to call to say Adam left the garage open," Kyle's voice was clearer now, like he had taken the phone from Nicole.

"Liar!" Nicole yelled.

"Okay. I'll make sure to let him know. Can Tyler go over and shut it?" I asked.

"Already did. C'mon, we're not that irresponsible," Kyle reminded me. "Hey, Nicole, would you mind leaving for a second?"

"Yes," she mumbled.

"I'm serious," Kyle demanded.

"So am I," she retorted.

"I can just call back if this isn't a good time," I told them.

"No! It's fine," Kyle insisted. I heard Nicole sigh over top of him.

"Can you come back soon? I'm tired of being stuck with Kyle all day," I could picture Nicole pouting on the other side of the call.

"Then go get a social life," Kyle laughed.

"Watch it," I warned. He was starting to sound a little rude to her.

"Sorry," he apologized, though I'm not sure if it was to me or Nicole. I rolled my eyes, waiting for Nicole to blurt something else out at him.

"No, you're not. You probably want Hannah back here just as much as me, anyways," Nicole said.

"Not true," Kyle insisted. My heart dropped. So he really didn't miss me? "I want her back more than you."

"That's not true, either," Nicole squeaked. "Love ya, Hannah!"

"Hey, back off! She's my girlfriend," Kyle joked.

"Yeah," I chimed in. "Don't get too clingy, Nicole."

"Ew, not like that," Nicole fake-gagged. "I meant I cared about you, but forget it. Clearly you don't like my sweet, loving gesture."

"Bye, Nicole," I ended the conversation.

"Talk to you later," Kyle finished.

"Love ya!" Nicole laughed and laughed, until I hung up the phone.

"Who was that?" Adam asked when I arrived downstairs.

"Kyle," I replied. "Oh, and by the way, you left the garage open."

"Crap!" Adam dropped his fork onto the counter with a clink.

"No worries, Tyler closed it," I informed him.

"Phew!" Adam picked up his fork, and wiped it across his napkin before resuming eating.

"So what are we doing today?" I asked, stealing a pancake off Adam's plate. I shoved it all into my mouth at once, being the pig I am.

"Hey!" Adam exclaimed, nearly dropping his fork again to reach for the pancake. He was too slow. "Nothing now, since you stole my food."

"You can have it back later," I giggled loudly.

"Ew!" Adam screeched. "Hannah, that's so gross!"

"You asked for it," I replied with a shrug.

"No, I didn't, actually," he retorted, crossing his arms across his chest.

"Oh well," I giggled again. "But seriously, what are we doing today?"

"Leaving you locked inside," Adam smirked.

"Child abuse!" I gasped, emphasizing my mock-surprise.

"Fine," Adam pouted. "Leaving you stranded on the other side of the beach."

"Hey," I muttered. "You don't want me to take the rest of your breakfast, right?"

"You wouldn't," he glared at me, holding a hand out to protect his plate.

"I would," I told him.

"You'll have to go through me first," he demanded.

"Fine," I said casually, reaching out toward his arm. "But I know you're ticklish."

"Ugh," Adam rolled his eyes at me, and handed me the plate of one pancake reluctantly. "We're going mini-golfing."

"Yes!" I exclaimed. Not because of the mini-golfing, but because I was really psyched about the pancake. It took a moment to sink in.

"You like mini-golfing?" Adam asked, seeming surprised.

"I don't know," I replied honestly. "But I do know I really like pancakes."

~Winta's POV~

{a few hours later}

"Hole in one!" Hannah exclaimed. We were only on the first hole, and she was already beating us. A T-Rex roar broke out. The mini-golf course was designed around dinosaurs, and the giant, wooden T-Rex was currently guarding the first hole.

"Wow," I whispered in surprise.

"That hole took me four tries!" Adam frowned in defeat.

"Not me!" Hannah called happily, after she heard him.

"We know," Alesa muttered. "You're better than all of us combined."

"I love mini-golf!" Hannah cried, as she arrived at the second hole. Pterodactyls were perched on top of a cave opening.

"I thought you weren't sure about it," Adam said, confused.

"I wasn't! But now I love it!" Hannah smiled broadly.

"Just wait 'til we pull ahead later," I whispered to Alesa. "Then we'll see how much she loves it."

~~~
I ended up getting a hole-in-one by going through the stegosaurus's legs on the last hole, and tied Hannah for first.
"I call cheats," Hannah declared.
"I call a sore loser," I shot back.
"I didn't lose!" Hannah defended herself.
"You didn't win," I retorted.
"Ooh, shots fired!" Alesa gasped as we walked back to the car.
"Shots dodged," Hannah muttered.
