The day after, I had just finished my classes when I remember that I had to answer to my dad's letter. I sat at the Great Hall with Hermione and she started studying. I took out a pen and a parchment and I started writing.

I am okay.

I didn't know what else to write. It just wasn't right to me to write him more, I don't know. I guess I just need a little more time. I shook my head getting rid of these thoughts and focusing on my studies.

As the bell rang I stood up and stood in the line to give my finished essay at Snape. When it was my turned he made an judgemental look and I rolled my eyes leaving without a word.

After finishing our lesson with Hagrid, I went with him at his hut for a tea.

"How is everything Emily?" he asked while pouring drinks.

"All good, I guess. I just- Hagrid there is something I want you to know" I said all serious and he looked at me confused.

"Of course, tell me. What is it?" he asked sitting across me. His face was full of curiosity about what I would tell him.

"I ran away. From my house" I confessed and he raised his eyebrows surprised.

"You did what?" he asked not believing it.

"I-, it's complicated. Me and my dad got into a huge fight and-" I was explaining but he interrupted me asking, "About what?".

I felt my chest heavy as he asked me this. Hagrid would be very disappointed if he ever knew and I wouldn't be able loosing him too.

"I am not ready to tell you. I just want you to know that I am fine" I confronted him and he shook his head.

"How did it happened? I mean you are at school now for the next five months?" he asked more like himself than me.

"I left before sunrise with all my stuff in my hands. Harry tried to stop me but I was very convincing", I was explaining what happened that night.

"You are sixteen Emily! How are you going to live alone? Or spend your holidays? Hogwarts won't be there forever. What about the holidays?" he asked worried. Twice the same question.

"I will figure it out, don't worry" I smiled a little assuring him. He rested his hands on his knees wiping his forehead.

"You are a smart girl Emily, but I never thought that you would do something like this. You are lucky that you have your dad's intelligence otherwise things could be very tough out there" he looked outside of the window feeling his words.

"I know it Hagrid. Please don't be in a bad mood everything is okay now" I stood up and touched his shoulder.

"Yeah you are right, sorry if I overreacted. If you want anything don't hesitate to ask" he touched my head while putting his big arms around me. I closed my eyes for a couple of seconds and nooded.

"Thank you, Hagrid" I said overwhelmed and he went back.

"Come on your tea is getting cold" he smiled a little and I sat back in my seat. We started gossiping about professor Snape when I told him I got detention for the next two hours.

[..]

"Hello Emily" Oliver Wood said when I walked passed him.

"Hello Oliver, Dean" I waved both of them and they started walking with me.

"Are you okay? Haven't see you all day" Oliver said and I smiled kind.

"Yeah, I just went to Hagrids all day. We had a lot to say" I said and he laughed.

"Yeah I see. See you around" he touched my shoulder as we got inside the common room and I smirked at him.

As I sat next to Hermione she smiled wickedly at me raising her eyebrows.

"Oliver is too friendly with you huh?" she asked wickedly and I rolled my eyes.

"He is just being nice for when I played for Gryffindor" I explained and she smiled not believing me.

"We will see about that" we didn't say more because the boys came to chat with us.

[..]

"Good evening students" Dumbledore stood on the step and everyone stopped talking.

"We are sorry that for this year Yule Ball had to be transfered because of some teache's issue. We would like to announce you that it will happen at Friday 7pm" everyone started cheering up when he finished and some guys even started asking girls out. Ginny shook my hand happy and whispered , "That would be great! Me and Harry can get closer!"

"I hope you will" I put my arm around her shoulders.

"Who are you going with?" she asked me.

"I don't know if I am even coming. We will see" I said and she shook her head.

"I will convince you to come. We still have time" she said and I laughed a little. Ginny is a really nice person.

That night, at the common room things were different. As I walked in the girls weren't with boys and Harry and Ron were looking worried.

"What's happening?" I asked Hermione and she showed me Ginny. She was sitting on the steps of the stair with her hands resting on her knees as she was biting her lips angry.

"Harry asked Cho at the Yule Ball" she asked and I opened my mouth shocked. He did what?

"What? Why would he do that?" I asked and sat next to Ginny and she rested her head on my shoulder .

"He is stupid, that's why" Ginny answered and I nodded.

"Hey girls wassup?"Ron came to ask but the girls gave him an angry look.

"It's not a good time Ron" I stood up and his little smile fainted away.

"What's the matter? Ginny, are you alright?" Ron said when he noticed his sister on the stairs. I slightly pushed him back and whispered that she just needs some time alone and thank God he understood that.

"He is such an idiot!" Ginny said indignantly and I let her lay on me as I sat next to her again.
