The others at my room had already left and this gave me the confidence to pack my stuff alone. It was the day for us to leave to go home, for the summer break.

We finished our exams one week ago and the results came out. I got A's at all classes, except Potions, which I had a B. No worries though because I was the higher grade in class with Hermione.

Hagrid lead us with the boats at the Hogwarts express and I was waiting for the golden trio to say goodbye to him so I would had the chance to do the same.

"Hagrid!" I shouted when they left.

"Emily, where are you going to stay?" he asked worried.

"I will find somewhere, don't worry. I promise you that if I don't, I will go home" I comforted him and he nodded. He hugged me and squeezed me into his big arms.

"So, I gotta go. See you Hagrid!" I said and he smiled.

"Take care Emily"

My compartment's door opened and the Weasly twins appeared.

"Hey Emily" they both said and sat next to me.

"Hi guys, what's up?" I said closing the book I was reading.

"Mum sent us an howl before we left and she wants you to spend the summer with us!" George said and I opened my mouth surprised.

"Really?" I asked and they both nodded.

"Yes, she said that she would love to have you with us" Fred said and I felt overwhelmed.

"Okay, I guess. I will see you when we get down" I said and they left.

The train arrived at the station and all of us went down to find our people.

"Emily!" Mary shouted from behind. I turned around and she jumped into my arms.

"Write to me, okay?" she said and I nodded.

"Yes, we will also meet Mary. Don't worry" I comforted her touching her shoulders.

"It's time to go, have a nice summer!" she said and I smiled at her thanking her before going to find the Weasly family.

"Hello dear!" said Molly hugging me.

"Hello Mrs Weasley" I said and also waved at Arthur. We were then going home.

That was probably the most weird summer I've ever had.

It was boring the most days, but my books and the twins kept me company. Also most of the days Mr Weasly offered me to help him with his job, joining him at the Ministry which I did. It was pretty fun though and Arthur is very passionate about his job. The way he was explaining to me everything even when I didn't ask, the way his eyes were shining and he was moving with tension his hands.

Ginny and I spoke only the basics during our accommodation together. It was very akward but and it hurts me but it's not my fault. One time after dinner she asked me something I don't remember just to break the wall between us, but I said the most common excuse, "I am tired, Goodnight", and that was it.

The most important thing that happened these three months, was when my dad came at the house for visiting.

He apologized to me.

"I am sorry, Emily. I wasn't there, when I should have been. I was so obsessed with the fact that I found Harry that I almost lost you" he touched my cheek and I felt that my legs couldn't hold me up. I was broken and I needed someone next to me. I burst into tears and fell on his arms. I was feeling my old self being reborn, after I have lost it for almost two years. Things were going well.

"It's okay if you don't want to come home yet, I understand. School also starts in two weeks, you can spend the rest of your summer here but on next holidays you will be home" he said and I promised that I will.

Me and Mary met twice the whole summer. She apologized a couple of times explaining that it was because they had to visit her sister at Europe, but I comforted her a million times that it was okay.

The second time we met, we went at Diagon Alley to buy the books that school required us to. That was the day that I saw Draco after three months. Mary wanted to talk to him, even when I insisted not to.

We went there and he only talked to Mary. Not even a word, or a glance at me. That was what hurt me the most, that he pretended like he didn't care at all.

Or he wasn't from the beginning.

"It's weird coming back" I said when we entered the Great Hall.

"Yeah, first day is always weird" Mary admitted and I grabbed her hand stopping her from walking more.

"I can't sit with you" I said and she frowned.

"What? Why not?" she asked confused.

"Because me and Draco, you know-"

"Yes but you are my friend. Not only Draco wanted you there. Come on" she said pulling my hand letting me with no other choice than follow her.

"Sit next to me" she whispered and I did as she said.

The Slytherin table was full after five minutes and Draco was sitting in front of me, with Crabbe and Goyle at his right.

Mary was chatting with the other girls, but I wasn't in the mood. Actually the whole table was in a very good mood except for me and him. He was staring at his food, but not eating a single bite. His skin was pale, like he was sick. His eyes were empty and sad. My chest created a hole with his image, I was feeling bad for him and not knowing the reason of what causes all of these.

"Oi Malfoy! Are you listening what am saying?" Zabini asked and Draco looked at him abruptly.

"Not now, Blaise" he rolled his eyes and continued doing what he was doing before. Nothing.

"Hey..." I whispered after a while leaning a little on the table closer to him. His eyes met mine, he wasn't expecting me to talk to him.

"Are you alright?" I asked worried and he straightened his back looking around trying to escape from my look.

He didn't answer, he just took his bag quickly and started walking away from the table.

"It's okay, Emily. Leave him alone" Mary said to me and I sighed keep playing with my food.
