The Seeds knew that the deputy would be trouble as soon as she landed in Hope County, no matter how innocent she looked. Yet when John first laid his eyes on her, something twisted inside of him and he knew that she would be different but couldn't begin to explain why. 
    
    The deputy was forced into being Hope County's hero and the leader of a resistance against a doomsday cult but even she knew that something wasn't right when she first saw the blue eyes of the baptist. 
    
    How can two people who are so different, both be so broken. Perhaps, devotion doesn't have to make sense...
